Blue Garter - http://bluegarter.guildwork.com
We got the 5th chest with 2 seconds under 35 mins (34:58). I think the dungeon is slightly lagged. The message for "30 minute teleportation" is almost five seconds after the timer on the clock. Everyone in the dungeon had the same timer; it wasn't just me.

Grats on the achievement of clearing this dungeon so quickly, I am really impressed that Yoshi would add such a condition to force you to optimize strategy and push the limits. You all get props from me.
So w/o sounding too nub are there any tips for handling betraal in the final stage? We get to the 30% mark, kill the 3 skelly spawns and betraal begins to rage, spamming back 2 back 2 back "blue cone attack" on tank for apx 1,200'ish dmg a pop. Between that and the ghosts it goes to hell somehow. Things we have tried so far is sending someone to the attack down circle (is this tied to the "blue cone attack"?). We do about 2 runs a day, and we have seen betraal about 6 times.
Party setup:
CON,THM,THM
GLA,LNC,MRD,ARC,PUG
The first 60% of betraal is cake right now, the last 40 is hell...
I would suggest letting your tank dodge those attack by moving back and forth through Batraal and to make life easier on your healers have your mrd and pug go archer if they can. Really hard to heal that fight if your having to keep healing the people you shouldnt have to heal. But yes your tank can dodge those attacks and not get beat up.
Thanks Mog!!
Got Verdant Bow last night after 4 straight swords! Woot ^^
In case anyone is curious or wants to exchange notes, our strat:
Party comp - GLA THM CON CON CON ARC ARC ARC
We had the GLA use Quickstride and everyone follow suit at the first Toxic Toad, then again directly after teleporting up to the second level, and once more after Ogre kill. For Ogre, we only used BRs to get it down to ~50%, then had mages DoT it and DPS burn it down as per usual.
In Skeleton room, obviously had circle assignments chosen before going in. Two healers in first circle, healer and tank in last, and DPS and last healer ran to the west corner to pop the two circles there while killing any Bogeys that might be in the way. Once Bogeys are down the tank just sacrifice-pulls all the Skeletons with all the healers there to keep him up. Skeletons usually down in <30 seconds.
For Batraal, we had the tank hold him just close enough to the shield circle that DPS could take one or two steps back to pop it when it comes up, and then go two steps forward and start attacking again. Archers pulled the Skeletons to a little alcove off to the east of the shield circle and AoE burned them down in the first two phases. In phase 3 our THM pulled them off of us and burned them down with nukes to free-up the archers to DPS down Batraal.
In the end it's EZPZ, just takes good leadership and a party that works together.
Perfect Insanity @ Rabanastre downed Batraal in 24:31.

had a really good run earlier, finishing with 38:20-something on the clock... after like 7 botched runs in a row where luck was really just boning us hard![]()
Seems the largest thing that affects time remaining is placement of the ghosts in the skeleton room. Can cost you up to 2+ minutes if they are really badly placed.
Yep... And let's be honest those introduction cutscenes is like an extra 30-40 seconds off the timer as well. I mean do we really need 2. Why didn't they just make one longer one :/
