DPS classes typically get somewhere around a 20 to 30 minute queue time even during peak hours. If you play at off-peak times, it can be longer, even exceeding an hour occasionally. You can deal with that either by making that wait bearable (i.e. finding other things to do in the meantime while you're waiting on a group to form) or by shortening the wait (either finding a friend who is a tank or healer or becoming a tank or healer yourself).
Are you in a Free Company? Or have any friends who play (and are on the same server)? Just queuing in Duty Finder will get you a group eventually, but if you can ask people to party with you and run it together, that can be quicker in many cases. You can either put together a full four person group, or you can pair up with another player or two and queue in Duty Finder to get the remaining people you need. (If you're queuing as a duo, though, you'll want either a tank or healer as your partner. Two damage dealers can party together and queue through DF, but it wouldn't shorten the queue time any from what you see as a solo DD.) This solution involves making friends with people, at least to the point where you can ask them to run content together with you, and making such friends isn't a bad goal to have anyway.
Or, if you're going with the fill in the queue time with other activities option, there are FATEs, sidequests, leves, hunting log, etc, that you can do with your current class, or you can unlock other classes and start their quests and hunting logs. For now, I'd stick mainly with combat classes (DoW or DoM). Gathering and crafting classes will be a good option while waiting on later dungeons, once you're past this first trio of them and can unlock retainers. Until then, as you've already noticed, crafting is rather too hard on your limited inventory space.
Oh, and Sastasha is the first of a trio of three dungeons that come nearly back to back in the main scenario quest chain. (There's a single quest in between each that's just there to send you to the area where you'll find the next dungeon and explain the story reason for it.) Usually, after getting past one of these roadblocks in the story progression, you'll get another lengthy string of soloable quests you can do at your own pace, but at this point, you're going to have to get through that waiting game three times in a row for Sastasha, Tam-Tara, and Copperbell.

As others have said, DPS queue times can be pretty bad, but they are rarely more than an hour. You can do other things while waiting in the queue, such as craft or level up a new class. I recommend, if you are interested in cutting down your queue times in the future, you queue for the dungeon as PUG and then switch to CNJ to level. When the queue pops, you can switch back to PUG and accept it. Note that every combat class except your highest one gets a +50% bonus to all experience points gained, so leveling up a second class isn't so bad.
