Will inactive FC and unsubbed player plots ever be relinquished?

Decay was never implemented due to the outcry of single-person FCs taking season-long vacations and such.

By the by, there's a small house across my FC house that was bought after 2.2, sparsely furnished for a couple weeks, and since then has been completely untouched. Kind of a bugger isn't it? what with so many people on Balmung whining about not being able to buy a house. There's a large personal house across from my personal house that is much the same story, just patch 2.38. Decay needs to happen if adding more servers is not sustainable. All they gotta do is empty the plot, hand the owner a voucher for a house of equal or lesser value to what was paid, throw their things on the salvager like they do for kicked FC players, and maybe give more leeway for personal homes.

I find the Voucher idea and returning our items via the salvager a very good idea! I've been wanting to buy a house for sooo long but there are no small houses available anymore
