I purchased a Fantasia for my Behemoth Hyur, but I'm saving it for when the Au Ra are available. I'm still not sure if I will be making her an Au Ra or a Miqo'te, but I'll know once I get a chance to play around with their customization. I would have had one still, but the client crashed on me while I was fiddling around with the Fantasia I got for the Veteran reward (I had no intention of confirming once I was finished) and acted as if I had confirmed my progress thus far. See, I didn't plan on playing the Hyur, I was going to delete the Highlander if I felt I was going to play on Behemoth with any significant amount of time. But when Behemoth became locked from character creation in nigh perpetuity, I just said "#$@! it" and kept her as Hyur until I could afford to get another Fantasia (and a name change).

Psh, I'm not changing my character just to be a classier version of a Tera race (seriously, they could have stood to be a little more scaly). You want to be an Au Ra, be my guest. Not I.

I love my Castanic! If Au Ra feels like a Castanic at all, it will tempt me away from my Miqo'te! Though, Hyur constantly temps me to, and I haven't yet...so who knows! But Castanics are <3!

I ended up doing a version of the char I said I was looking for, using GIMP. I'm no graphic designer, but I'm hoping SE allows for this colour scheme. I'll post it shortlyish.

Probably going to end up switching my roegadyn alt to Au Ra, really don't like the roe animations and the (short) glimpse we got of the Au Ra at the last fanfest seemed promising.





Not sure why it hasn't appeared on the lodestone yet, Kazuya Takahashi drew it for New Year.

female au ra's don't look too bad. seen a few in the videos that actually look cute. males on the other hand look bad lol. like male elezen bad.

if somebody took a ram and mixed it with a human as a science experiment it would be the male au ra's lol.

Still have my free Fantasia laying around, but I'll stay Hyur. A basic midlander Hyur that resembles human.

Male Au Ra look like they've got that "punk dude in a shonen manga" thing going on way too hard.

Female Au Ra are the pretty princessest princesses who ever prettied.

You, everyone and and everyone's grandma...it's going to be as annoying as the Miquote fest when they first debuted. As for me, I love my Highlander, I didn't really "feel" the Au-Ra, especially the males, kind of remind me of Elves with horns, if you ask me. The females look awesome, though.

Miqote premiered at the same time as Hyur. There are Still more Hyur than Miqote. And why should something being popular be "annoying" it shows that they did a good job developing the new race if most people want to use it.
