New Race Announced! The Au Ra

The majority of people will always choose a human-ish race, it's nothing new, especially in Japan, and they already have plenty to choose from.
Some of us however would have liked to have a little more diversity, it's fantasy and I enjoy it more when I can play something that truly feels different than what I am everyday.

probably, yes, however th question is, do the people like you are more than people than want more choice from miqote and hyur? some don't like the lalafell, roe and elezen. it's not without reason than miqote are the most represented specie in the game. people want to play something human-like but still a bit different.

You can't always cater to the majority, they're not the only part of your playerbase, and like I said the majority already has plenty to choose from while people like me don't have any.

And honestly the Miqote being insanely popular is nothing surprising, people love catgirls/boys which are basically humans with cat ears and tail. The au'ra will be popular at first then people will go back to their humans and cats.
I'll be honest, the same thing would have happened with someting like dragonmen, but the au'ra are wasted potential when you could have a race with much more identity like the aman from Tera.

A full beastly race would be even a bigger waste, but in development time, for a race that only a few would enjoy, that said i'm with you, even minorities are part of the player-base, and as a company looking for profit they should please them too, and seeing how this race was implemented and how the 1.0 poll went, if there's another race in the way, it may be the fully reptilian race, vangaa like, Yoshi mentioned and wanted back then.

They are not going to change the Au Ra, but if you ask enough for it, they may release another one.

Personally this is very creative and id prefer this.
If oud stop complaining cause its not a vierra and appreciate it for what it is and that they even came out with a new race.
Maybe then will you open your eyes.

Plus appreciate the fact its a new race. Im pretty happy with this. But im not gonna go around speaking for everyone.

They've released official artwork, official renders, and official screenshots of the Au Ra. The look of the race is more than likely finalized.

It still should be a little more appreciated then insulted. 3D computer modeling aint easy, also have over millions of fans they cant answer to everyone.

They've released official artwork, official renders, and official screenshots of the Au Ra. The look of the race is more than likely finalized.

The Sylvari in Guild Wars 2 were changed fairly drastically even after artwork, renders and videos had come out. It's very unlikely the Au Ra will recieve even minor changes now, but not impossible.

I just hope there will be some difference in the two clans. Something like Hyur midlander and highlander.
