As i said i just buy those from market since ppl can not craft those in our fc. In our server most fo those items cost 90 - 200k. 2.4 I sold dubbins 230k each(270 soldiery items) and make like 4m+ so it was not that expensive. How did you get the crafting items?
Dungeon farming was never the problem with the Zodiac Questline, even they still miss to add a failsafe system (some players with 20+ tries of the same dungeon while others get it with their 1st try)
I dont know the pricing on your server, here it is about 200k to 400k gil (depending if you are lucky to catch the 200k). you will need 8 of them, that makes it in total about 3M and thats close to housing!

I desync and crafted what I could of course, I have WVR and GSM at 100. I bought others off MB because they were relatively cheap on Tonberry anyways, but then I've seen my FC mates asking for help for classes they don't have.
And even so, you can buy NQ desync mats from MB and craft it yourself which doesn't require you to have the desync class. What's expensive is getting the HQ desync mats which people sell it at 10x the NQ mats. NQ mats are just a few K gil over here iirc.

Point is them being a 3-star synth means you do not need the hq materials. It's really...no, nevermind, they're worth every penny I've been selling them on the mb for. Yup.
Agreed. The relic quests are only challenging in that it's hard not to kill myself after 3 days of farming The same level 15ish fates just for one f&#%ing atma. My WHM staff is staying atma forever and I'm not even going to start on the scholar book when I get scholar to 50. I wouldn't even do it if Square was paying me a subscription.

Since novus with materia cost i thought i should server transfer, buy it on other server and transfer back... once again it seems to be the best option!
Just a sidenote: I finished my Zodiac yesterday and doing the secund one. Everything possible i did on my own and still needed more than 1M gil

Don't worry, Atma got nerfed. You have to be now a very unlucky person if you don't get 12 atmas within 1 weekAgreed. I still don't even know about the newest Relic-related things, because a) I still haven't even gotten my Novus; b) I can't be bothered to look it up.
Atma was enough of a (bad) joke back then; doing the books was kind of ok, though I really can't understand why we got more FATEs with it when people had expressed their dislike of FATEs already (and face it, everyone was a zombie from farming those right after Atma there); and Novus... I'm still not finished with Novus because I can't be bothered with it - see the problem there? Either waste an immense time on spiritbonding stuff which will be battling RNG again, or I spend my everything and then some more buying materia off the MB. Meanwhile I do have two other type of i110 weapons already and very close to having a third, without actually killing my soul grinding for them. Very unmotivated to do the Relic quests atm and it's sad, because it's supposed to be a supplement to at least one's main class.
And to think it was intended to be the casual way of obtaining high-level (/endgame?) weapons... lol. That's inherently the problem, isn't it? Everything is so designed for "casual" play that "hardcore" gamers are always crying about this and that needing a change. But where exactly are we? Relic is an immense time/gil sink. Housing (not even distinguishing personal/FC) and everything connected to it is an immense time/gil sink. Crafting and gathering, if one wants to do it seriously with high-level gear - an immense time/gil sink. Endgame raid...don't even talk about it. Really, the only part that is still fun (mostly) and can be enjoyed and provides an actual sense of progress without spending every waking minute on it is levelling up classes. Kinda contradictory if you ask me, considering how the game was originally created to cater for "casuals".
Honestly, this is how I feel about these quests. I have respect for anyone masochist enough to endure this sadistic questline.

I'm 3 dungeons, approximately 2000 tomes and 1500 seals away from my stardust rod relic. I suspect I'll be doing this again with my Artemis Bow Nexus but I'll do the grind much slower and simply work it in as I see fit. Relics have been a big part of my FFXIV experience. I have to admit for those who can't generate gil for the hand in's it's got to be pretty frustrating. I suspect the prices will come down on many of the items once the initial rush is over. I collected or purchased mats and was able to get friends and one super crafter (who has multiple 3 Star crafts) to help me with them.

Yeah I am just doing relic (novus phase now) just to give me a reason to do dungeons and spend excess tomes on. I have no delusions of ever getting the final step in a timely manner I may not even complete it since many primal/coil weap already and will surpass whatever stage I get it.
