Ah, thanks for the advice - I'd been following an older (I guess?) tactic to run to the start position/group cluster so that I'm easy to find to shock. If you get another group where no one's bothering (not uncommon from what I've seen), Ramuh's red circle AOE (Thunderspark) will clear that off, and isn't deadly in HM. I tend to just run in range for that if I get terror regardless. Either someone will free me, and I'll be able to move out of the red, or they won't, and the AOE will do it.
I'm dumping that for the red circle, from here >.>

It's a trickle-down strategy from Extreme, where freeing terror targets is an absolute necessity, so having them easy to find is important. It's a good strategy when people are paying attention & doing it, but when they're not... yeah, Ramuh to the rescue.
10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

Aha - thanks again xD I doubt I'll get to Ramuh EX (seeing as I'll probably never get passed Titan EX *twitch*), but I'll keep it in mind if I ever do in the future![]()

Healing with SUPER LAG+1. Cures and Esuna weren't catching server side in Sastasha HM, which led to some pretty bad moments. Come to find out it's my computer downloading updates for some virus protection........
/sigh

I've had similar happen to me at random - cast cure, the spell complete animation goes off on your character and.........*Pause* ...... then the cure effects the target. >_<

You don't need to finish Titan (or Ifrit) to get to the other primals now. I had some people get me through Leviathan, Ramuh, and Mog EX and we totally avoided Titan.
I can't speak for everyone, but I know what might have caused it. By default the controller settings don't let you target people who aren't in your party with your weapon drawn. They might have been console people.
Also, technically you were doing exactly the same thing they were.

Really o.o I had no idea o.o I don't know whether to feel happy or frightened, at this point xD (and yet, 'Thank Gad' is my main feeling)

So, my next horror story isn't about a bad party - more like an 'ohshit, this is what I've always feared would happen'.
So, I've done speed runs/big pulls in Qarn HM several times (as well as Sastasha HM with exception to that last room being 100% pulled... which is always a big fat KO-punch to the party). We've done pretty alright and I've been able to power through with cure2 spam + Presence when needed. This includes opening the door in mid pull on the second large pull and getting THOSE things, too.
But largely, they were paladins.
I was so happy when this Warrior asked if it was okay to do big pulls. Yeeeeeeep! Been there done that, thank you mister Warrior for askingYessir!
I'd been enjoying speed runs lately.
Came to the first big pull.... quickly pop Presence right before I assume he's going to stop and finish aggroing the mob, based on prior experience - owie owie owie - spam cureII.... still spamming. Presence goes down. Pop Divine, continue spamming. Used a Bene in there somewhere in between in an 'ohshitwhy'. Everything dies, thankfully, and the tank continues to the next big pull.... I'm saying to myself "well, okay, maybe that was just bad timing... guy's got 10k HP, thats a shit ton, so.... fluke?"
Next big pull + opened door + pull = Weeeeeeeeeelllll shit. I shoulda said something...
Got maybe two cures IIs in before he hit the floor. Raise - couldn't really get him healed up in time. We wiped. I had no cool downs for that second mob... I should have taken it as a sign - rather than gauge on the past tank experiences - and stopped them for at least Presence (faster cool down than Divine).
Ran back - Popped Presence that had caught up in regenerating from cool down - but we still hit the floor.
I can just feel the 'omgsuckywhm' in the silence.
So what can you do when all your CDs are blown and gone and the next mob was pulled? I admit I made a bad call in not saying anything, but... that was always a concern I had when I was initially getting used to speed runs - but never ran into that problem where -all- were already blown and seriously needed a second time, so I didn't even think about it.... until now.
Nightmare realized D:
Nah, as a fellow control player I can say healing outside party people is rather viable (I dont even have specialized filters), but as I said in my "tale" they were FATE striken, in other words, ppl who arent expecting to die in a FATE and all they expect they need to bother about is hitting things till they die... that one particular FATE works as a wake up call and you will always see people die in it for that particular reason.I can't speak for everyone, but I know what might have caused it. By default the controller settings don't let you target people who aren't in your party with your weapon drawn. They might have been console people.
Also, technically you were doing exactly the same thing they were.
And in my defense, as a DPS, why would I bother healing in the first place D:?! I could have let him die, which he ended up doing anyway, but I still bothered healing him, not only once, but until the point of not being able to DPS anymore... I only have 1 healing skill as a BLM after all >_>;;
I didn't let him die, he was hit beyond my Physick powers... sad thing is that he even asked for Res from me but... yea, I had no such a skill...
