Yep, I agree. I've posted a thread about this before, myself. I included a screenshot of a DRG in mage's gear (hat to shoes, all was level 40 stuff made unarguably for casters that is listed as "all classes"). How is this fair?

Tanks - can wear tank, melee, ranged, and mage gear
DoW - can wear melee, ranged, and mage gear
DoM - can wear mage gear

eta: Upon re-reading the quote, Yoshi did goof up by saying specifically "tanks in mage gear" as going against the "image" when they CAN wear mage gear. If SE is being a stick-in-the-mud about how things look, then they need to get rid of glamours completely. A tank or anyone fighting in a bikini or reindeer furry suit doesn't exactly hold up an "image" either. :/ To clarify, I am NOT advocating removal of glamours, just the stupid restriction.

You mean JOB, as classes can't wear AF or use Relic Weapons.

While I agree with the assessment that Yoshi generally has no idea what is going on with the development of his own game and I also personally would love to see a more restrictive system as I think the current one is extremely broken and slanted...

That being said it is actually pretty useful the way it is now. Attire is like an avatar name. It is a very telling initial measuring method of a player's status. When you are in a DF and your tank is a Roe in a tiger speedo, a snowman head, and is named Poofeeeee Nardsack you can bet with about 98% certainty they are going to be a tool and a liability to your team. There are exceptions but they are like bigfoot, everyone has heard of them but no one has seen one.
