Just Curious why SE never took a vote from players on what we want in Cash Shop?

The cash shop is Optional. No one is forcing them to spend money on it, If you are on a budget, don't buy it. Rather then moaning about not being about to afford something they don't need.

If you read any other posts, you'd have seen that I'm perfectly fine with "if people can't afford it, don't buy it". But they should have the OPTION to also earn said item in-game. Is it really that hard to understand the idea of "people with money can buy with cash shop, people without money can farm whatever in-game currency is required to purchase the SAME item in-game"?

I'm not against the cash shop. I'm against its exclusive items/services (they can keep server transfers and the such as cash-only).

Just because you can afford a sub doesn't mean you can afford the cash shop content, is it really that unreasonable to ask that cash shop items are not exclusive to the cash shop? Odds are you can't give me any examples of entertainment that are cheaper than this game.

Again its optional, You are not being forced to buy a minion or vanity gear. I find going for a running or throwing a ball around with friends entertaining. And that's free?.....

In theory, yes.
As a business model, that would be... really retarded.
These are just past items, maybe they'll come back. Who knows, but they're there for certain if you wanna buy it.

Guild Wars does it just fine. My father plays (Not sure if it's GW one or two though). Everything he's ever wanted he farmed, while some of his friends purchased the items using actual money. If they keep the in-game price steep, people who don't want to waste their time will pay. People who don't want to waste their money will farm.

The only reason the items are exclusive is to provide additional incentive to purchase the items on the cash shop by making people feel unique or special.

Theres a lack of content thats getting released for what we should be getting for free. If they want to release cash shop content they cant have the normal development team work on it. We should be getting same amount of content free each patch.

Well you must understand how silly that sounded to me, I asked for an example of entertainment and you give me running and throwing a ball. These days those sound more like exercise than entertainment lol. I'm just trying to say that $12/month is extremely cheap entertainment these days, you can't even go see a movie for $12 anymore.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just trying to get the point across that less people would be bitching if the items weren't exclusive. I have no problem with the cash shop as it is, I understand it's optional, and I'm not one of the people that couldn't afford it if I wanted it.

People keep asking the same question though, why do people hate the cash shop, and in my opinion the exclusivity of the items is the primary reason.

So since I am not being forced to use it..I can get the mount from the wedding thing right, without being FORCED to use the cash shop? Just like how in 1.0 we got the goobbue mount, and legacy? Or will I be FORCED to use the cash shop?
