But the introduction of FL doesn't automatically devalue my materia. Wolves' Den is still there, the materia still has a use regardless of the options that are available that include the sync.

You didn't actually lose anything; it was, in fact, a gain. Why would anyone complain about that?
I get that the stats are now increased but now I am at a loss still because I either leave my gear as is and have wasted slots which give very little contribution to my stats, if any, or remove everything and have no benefit from the materia without incurring another financial sink should I remeld. As for the increase to the gear's stats, everyone with PvP gets that, which sort of balances it out for opponents with PvP gear also.
Yes, I agree the changes to morale was actually a good one and makes it quite useful, but it puts my materia dead in the water. Since none of the gear has accuracy and I have dead slots that could have had accuracy melded (since you can miss), my slots are practically full, if not just the 100% chance slots are used (like in my belt and pants).

Someone FINALLY brings up relative player power in PvP being effected by this change, thus being a "nerf", instead of raging at me. Kudos to you, friend!

Yes, you have a point. Still, while it doesn't feel good, how much of a difference does it actually make? You lost, what, 4-8 of up to two separate secondary stats and maybe 3-4 of your main attribute per piece of gear? It's only a temporary setback, as well as a fairly minor one. You'll have the new gear before you know it, I think.

Okay, I keep hearing people say this. Is this REALLY, UNDENIABLY true? Is there any absolute proof or any reliable testing on this? Or maybe a developer post saying so? I have had base accuracy for as long as I remember, and I have NEVER missed outside of Blind or a healer's...whatever that 100% miss chance ability is. I am almost 100% sure, based on personal experience, that you have a 0% base miss chance in PvP, and only miss due to enemy debuffs or buffs.

I would love to get solid proof as to whether it's true or not.

    @Barboron

I just want to say that you conduct yourself like a scholar and a gentlemen. It's clear to see how a topic like this can help the developers take our needs into consideration with the inevitable future changes the game will endure throughout it's lifecycle.

Threads like this that outline a clairvoyant and objective outlook can only help to strengthen the relationship between the playerbase and design team, and also help to limit the "repatching of patches" that games like this suffer from a lack of said relationships.

If the "tired of this treadmill" thread was outlined as clear as this, maybe it would sound like a legitimate and intelligent argument instead of "omg we needs horizontal progressions dev noobs!!" (which I agree with but that thread is hard to stomach).

Thank you for your professionalism, stay classy op

I just kind of bit the bullet on this one. I, too, melded up my set pre-Frontlines and get to stare at a few Savage Might IV's with +0. xD I guess at this point it would just make more sense to push towards the i110(130) set and meld appropriately with the change if you so desire. I'd wait until Wolves' Den is popular or a new, uncapped mode is released though. But yeah, definitely feel your pain.

yes you can miss in pvp. Only need like +24ish accuracy to make it nearly nonexistent. at least for melee. I've only tested on mrd. tested through playing enough pvp to notice.
    Hawks eye > accuracy
B rank hunts are really tough with the low accuracy of pvp gear. Hawks eye is my clutch. I'm really just too lazy to simply switch to pve gear.

Im upset that i have ugly zeroes in my armor. the +acc would be a benefit. If i can ever rank up, i will feel like it would have been a pointless adjustment.

And you're sure you weren't blinded or someone didn't use a +Evasion cooldown?

Well, I'm not entirely convinced, because just noticing it while PvPing is far less reliable than deliberate, staged testing (however hard that would be in FFXIV PvP). However, I'll take your word for it until better evidence can present itself.

Why would you spend fortunes for items that were relevant for 1 instance that was always gasping for breath and which the whole surrounding aspects had the revamp stick looming over it?

For the same reason people spend fortunes for item that are relevant to 1 instance that is filled with bosses that they can already kill without said items and without spending said fortune.

Gil is made to be spent.

Except the raiding scene has always been super active vs Wolves' Den community which was always on life support at best..
