[Beginner question] Is it normal to wait half an hour for the Titan story duty finder

I already know all that. Mu Duty Finder is set to English and French already. I'm 99% there are 0 Japanese players in this DC. I'll try to enable German to see if it makes any difference.

I thought there would be no chance of Japanese players on my NA data center but you'd be surprised. Some of them are around on NA centers for whatever reason. We got this adorable Japanese tank in ST a month ago and he was just...so polite and awesome and his macros were cute.

I wanted to play Dragoon at first, but after hearing about them doing lower dps, having lower utility, and taking +50% damage from unavoidable magic aoe, + the awful dps queue times, I said screw it, I wanna enjoy the game and see content, not sit in queue afk in capital city (already did that in Mists of Pandaria which was why I unsubbed and the jerk community lol)

i started playing as a DRG in July, so queue times were mostly fine, at least on siren
even now, queue times are not that terrible for stuff like ST

There is very little incentive to do low level roulette for most players currently unless they're leveling something. They don't allow friends to queue low level roulette together in pairs or threes and I know that is one reason why nobody I know does them. This makes waiting for low level duties (which is everything under level 50) take forever.

If you think 30 minute queues are bad, try a DPS class. That's a GOOD wait time.

Speaking from the perspective of DPS, yes, yes it is common to have to wait 30 minutes or more in the queue for anything. Not to mention, I think Titan (any difficulty) is the most hated primal for players to fight. Whenever I queue up on Trial Roulette, I sit there, fingers crossed, repeating the mantra "Please don't give me Titan. Please don't give me Titan." And when it does give me Titan, I say the Queen Mother of Dirty Words.

Some say "If they released more tank/healer classes then the queue times would be shorter" except that is not the case. The people that enjoy playing those roles, or are willing to do so outside of their own linkshell/FC-base will be the ones primarily doing that. Those of us who won't touch those two roles, for whatever reason, will continue to NOT fill those roles.

You can do this fight whenever and sometimes Low level roulette just takes a bit. Ever since Ninja, the queue has been strange. When you're a tank, you're waiting for healers. When you're a healer, you're waiting for a tank.

Stop blaming NIN, it's not because of NIN. It's because the train of people who needed it have already got through.

I'm sure someone has pointed this out... But if your making this post right after trying...

It's between 12pm-4pm on a week day in NA. People have work, school (those not off yet like myself /cry grad school), and travel plans because of the holidays.


Hardly a good time to be trying this. Try again in about 3-5 hours and the queue should be quick. I always do my alts (a bard) roulettes right before or after I make dinner because the queues are insanely fast even as a solo q dps. Wait till late hours or do them too early and you will wait forever.

The duty roulette should prioritize filling slots for those queued in a duty finder.

the problem is these primal trials have zero value to redo after you beat them once in the storyline, except when Duty Roulette throws you in there.
