Ok just looked at the Fantasias

SE knows what they're doing. Its business practice. Their conditioning the market to accept $10 as a reasonable price and people will pay for it, especially when the new race is announced. But yeah the cash shop is way over-priced. A reasonable amount for fantasia would be 5-8 USD. Vanity items should not come close to the price of the sub *looks at slepnir mount*

Speaking of the cash shop, I wonder what overpriced stuff you'll add in and WHEN you'll add to it.

At first their system wasn't set up to send a set quantity of an item to players. So they sent up a temporary system where you buy 1 and it goes to all characters then buy 3. However you could only buy those once. Now they got their system set up to send items to certain characters its 1 per character now.

Question, why should a paid service(compare this price to every other MMORPG btw) need to be reduced lower than $10? This is not a game changing mechanism. No need to look farther than World of Warcraft to see the prices of these services. Why is it so bad for SE? A race/gender change is about $10 in every MMORPG you can find, do you NEED to change your look for the sake of the game? Does the quest require you to be a different race or gender to complete a quest?

Do a little research on this topic before thinking this is a matter for a rant on the forums.

SEs prices are cheaper then their competitors too. $10 for a race change on FFXIV, while in wow those cost $25. Shop pets in 14 only $5, wow $10.

Me me me. I want it this way right nao. I didn't spend time to carefully create my character the first time so now I'm going to indignantly rant about it on the forums and hope people humor me.

Semi on topic: Regarding cash shops.

When I play Guildwars 2 I tended to spend the odd 5$ here and there in the cash shop, and I justified it that it was because there is no sub fee. I realize now that I spent a fair amount of money there because everything was very cheap (The most expensive single thing there was $10). Also, their item shop stuff was just fun to have (costumes, which came with unique emotes or odds/ends..such as a broom you could "fly" on (replaced walking animation). Things that created mini-events for players to enjoy such as water ballon throwing, food fights or mini brawls. On top of that, these things have infinite uses.

I can't understand paying 10 bucks for a skin... but 10 bucks for something fun to have, that brings fun/something to do with my friends? That's an easy sell for me.

Toy boxes would be a great addition to this game. Not saying they should go specifically to the CS, but I'd like to see them in game.

I bought a 3 pack of Fantasias a while back, made a new character last week and it recieved the VetSub reward 1 + 3 from what i assume is my purchase of that 3 pack.

Did something change?

At the beginning they got sold as bonus items.
3 packages of different prices you can buy only once each (because bonus item) and not a second time, get registered to the account and not a single character.

People complained because they wanted it to be more like a cash item with unlimited amounts. Because 9 Phantasias in total was not enough.

I think they should give a free fantasia at the end of each year, keep the shop fantasia if you don't wanna wait that long.
