HEAVENSWARD New Race Suggestion!

The theme from Heavensward has to do with floating land masses, flying, sky type things. A race I am thinking of is similar to Revanant Wings\\' Aegyl. Adding an angel or feather winged type race could easily fit the landscape of Heavensward. We already have tails, pointed or fluffy ears... feathered wings could give a unique variety of features in the current playable characters list.*

I know Viera and a draconian race, like Gria, have been talked about as possible future races. I think adding something like Aegyl, along with those even, would be a fun idea.*

Some of my ideas are as follows:
*Could be connected to the Ixal or could have shared the Ixal\\'s or Moogle\\'s skyward homeland.
*Live in a City found upon the floating land masses
*They can be their own mount, using their wings to fly.
*Customizations can include wing color, feather type, wing shape.

I write this post in hopes it reaches the eyes of the developers and for others to comment.

its too tacky imo... cat ears and tails... elf ears are all part and parcel to final fantasy in most ways.

Angelic beings refer to a religious context that people won't like or are indifferent to, which is OK. The problem I have with characters getting to have angel wings and such is that it depicts your character as heavenly, otherworldly, supernatural, and as a savior. This would put it on a pedestal above the other races IMO. Im open to having a discussion about it though lol ^^

eta: I would prefer XIV go through the list of races that appeared in previous FF games first, before adding a new (and imo hokey) race. ^^

Is this even a question, FFXIV needs Viera (FFXII) and i hope they add a male version like they did with Roegadyn.

About 6 months ago actually when they actually decided and implemented the designs.


Yoshi said he wanted a Dragonkin race.

Heavensward is about Dragons.

I would prefer for 3.0 to add a whole new race, new to the FF universe. If they are going to add an already known race or a hybrid version of it, then I prefer to see either Gria or Viera.

I think they know that. We just don't know what the race IS, which is the topic of discussion. Personally. I want Viera and Ivalician Moogles, because those guys were kick ass and are one of the few "Shortie" races I'd be likely to play.

I agree that these 2 races would be awesome. Furthermore, I think the Bangaa and Nu Mou from the Ivalice games would be good races too. With the current races, and with the Ivalician races, I think that would cover a lot of the bases for people.

I'm still hoping for something Gria like, although, sadly, I doubt SE will add wings to PCs. Probably make some excuse about more armour models, clipping, and PS3 limitations.
