Attention devs: Game Surveillance Unit re: open world Bots.

Compared to ffxi this game is super lax on rmt. Just the fact that if you report a tell bot and they dont get jailed immediately is sad. In ffxi the rare times there tells made it past filter you report, then 5 min later they are auto jailed. SE clearly looks the other way on ffxiv so they can keep that money rolling in. Hell i had a guy in df pos hack garuda ex reported and still haven't heard back from a GM. Even saved a video clip incase they needed it lol.

One of the saddest things I'm hearing about all of this is that most of the GM's seem to want to do something about it, But they aren't allowed to or aren't able to because of the rules they have to abide by.

We really need a thread on the Japanese forums if there isn't already one, And we need to get as many people as we can in here pushing this.

So please spread the word, If anyone can read and write Japanese, French, German, Post the same thread in the appropriate forum and quote/link to this one, and others.

I thought I would step back from this, But I'm not being given a choice, I cant avoid the bots no matter how hard i try.

None have been banned, when will you start banning these bots SE? CM's could you please respond to this thread with some direction on this major issue in FFXIV ARR.

had a bot spiritbonding in north thanlan for about 4months me and my friend have prob reported him about 40 times have killed him about 10-20 times... bots pay a sub to i guess.

While trying to rally some players earlier today i came upon someone who sells runs for a living and while i have no problems with that, even admire the concept, the conversation led to a point where this player was supporting the botters and rmt, And that is just too much when players are supporting something that is hurting so many other people who spend their precious time gathering, crafting, and making gil to get the things we want, If SE doesn't take major action before Ishguard they probably never will, I can only hope they do because I'm so excited for the expansion i dont want to see bots in all the new area's farming, perhaps flying will destroy the bots but i doubt it!

I will say that selling runs does nothing for our economy, it just changes where the gil is being stored, with almost no houses available for purchase, and very little for those types of players to spend their gil on, its contributing to the already present problem.

What's irritating is when you catch actual players botting, players who are farming T9 and Shiva or working on Nexus. It's definitely not just RMT bots out there.
Recently I've had to approach at least 4 FC leaders to report their members for cheating.
Dragged one around yesterday to witness one of their friends who was FATE botting with AFK status on.
Another 2 for bot mining in East Shroud. One was an actual RMT/spiritbond bot who was blindly invited to an FC and accepted.
I shouldn't have to do this - reporting them to SE should be sufficient to have them banned. Alas..

There's a couple in Coerthas on Ragnarok farming fleece/spiritbonding. Reported them about a month ago but they're still at it.

Until these 4 spiritbond bots are gone then I will assume SE have done nothing outside of what they have been doing.
If we as legit players say "hey SE, here is my bot report with all the details you need", then SE have a duty to investigate those bots and ban them if found to be running on automation. This is still not happening AT ALL. All player reports are COMPLETELY IGNORED.

Here are the ones on Tonberry right now, Mor Dhona X18 Y17, happily botting away. They'll be here tomorrow, next week, next month, into 3.0, until SE starts actioning reports.

They're now back in Mor Dhona X18 Y17..still botting.

While SBing today i noticed a known bot running so fast it came into max render range and out of max render range so fast i barely noticed it.

Then I went to sell some materia just now to see several stacks of 99 materia for quite a few different tiers of materia, and i know its the SB bots because they are selling for the lowest price across the board, and its not just one stack its several.

Cmon SE do something, because you haven't taken care of a single one that i have seen.

I reported a couple of bot's earlier today on my server and a couple of hours later they had been removed, could have been they just logged off but it's wishful thinking.
