Actually, the reason this is done is to account for possible lag. Obviously the macro will still screw up for a crafting macro if you lagspike massively, but with a bit of latency issues a 2 seconds wait on touches/synthesis means you're gonna skip skills when you have latency issues.

This. Either you're a ninja, or you're not.

cant say ive ever seen anyone try to macro any type of rotation to be lagproof. trust me, i've played wow for like 7 years. the only people making rotation macros were making them to put their entire rotation on one button and were promptly laughed out of their respective class' forum. =\

i'm pretty sure the intent behind it is to failproof their ninjutsu, even though I could see how it could be used that way if you had a bad connection. but you're probably dealing with much bigger problems than mudra lag if you're trying to play with a connection that bad.

but long story short? macroing rotations is rarely optimal and almost as rarely reasonable in contrast to the drawback

i tried macros just to give it a try......and is a no-go , if u press the macro too soon u are screwed because u will avoid the 1 mudra and u wasted your CD and posible cast a spell u dont want to cast and 20s without huton will hurt your dps , u will need to waste next CD on it ...ect ect

learn to ninja or dont bother playing the job (on party) , we already have enough with drg not jumping (or doing it wrong ) and bards that dont even know what ballad means ....

I am using a controller as well, I placed the mudras on my 2nd crosshotbar right side. B (Ten) A (Chi) X (Jin), Y is Kassatsu, while Y in 1st crosshotbar is Ninjitsu, I found that this works better for me.
Once setup is more in remembering which direction to press the buttons and the final mudra for the Ninjitsu you want to use.

B > A is Raiton, go opposite is Katon
    B > A > X is Suiton go opposite is Huton
    X > B > A is Doton
    A > X is Hyoton

I am only remembering the direction to press rather than what I have on the buttons, as this is faster and I do not have to look at the crosshotbar much.

is there a reasn do all that ninjutsu? I thought huton saiton and ration are the only once worth using? may b the fire AOE one on big pull. so 4 ninjutsu to remember which isn't so bad. doton might b in question since its a Dot move which always a dps increase. I still know nohing about nin so correct me if im wrong.

There is no reason to use all since for single target the only one you use is Huton, Suiton and Raiton, Katon and Doton for AOE, Hyoton doesn't seems to have much use, I never actually use it in any dungeon lol. But still it's good to be able to remember them all in the off chance that you might actually need them.

ill prolly stick with huton saiton raiton and doton and figure out how to weave them in a rotation properly. I see this job as becoming hrder than mnk.

I just memorized all of the Ninjutsu's Mudra. Not exactly the names of what order, but the order of which I hit the Mudra to execute whatever Ninjutsu I'm trying to do.

On a controller it may be a bit harder, but to me, the best way to do it is just familiarize yourself with the order you execute them in, and as many have said, never double tap, or double whatever you'd do for the controller. UI delay and lag can easily ruin your Ninjutsu if you do.
