There's a reason why they didn't mention that price at fanfest I guess...probably would've killed the mood. And them.

Ok...what. Game isn't stong, yet people couldn't log in due to servers being full? K, gotcha.Optional dang it, it's all optional. Why should they put it in the game? So when you don't get it after x amount of runs you come here and whine that the drop rate needs to be fixed or as other threads have suggested, put it in a shop...
Get over it.
Hmmm...
Quesse- u has fat choco and courel mounts - you paid for that. Only way for me to get it is to buy it. NO FAIR - PUT IN GAME!!
Souljacker - um, same. Those mounts were paid for...sonofair!!
Don't try to justify that they came with the game, cos you paid more to get them. Also Courel mount and other stuff could be bought from mogstation before cash shop, noone gave a sh*t then, so why do so now.
Honestly this is beat to death....where is the guy with the gif for this, please...[Help me out!]
What a joke for the Sleipnir pricing, even more of a joke the pumpkin heads and wailing costume prices from past events.
Hilariously saddening to see.
Your money at work people.
They can't deliver a decent and workable housing system to their players based on "limited server demands", even though it's the same shitty system that's been in place since December of 2013 and they've known exactly what they need to expect since then. They can't deliver working servers after a patch, and players have to spam them for thirty minutes straight before getting a chance at logging in.
But they can take the time to code a virtual item to take 24 of your hard-earned dollars for delivering you "content" that they've had in game since 2.0 went live.
What a sick joke.

Well well, in Mor Dhona are like 30 people with their Sleipnir mounts, so I guess the pricing is a success![]()
Actually, I can definitely see the game not being that strong. we only have maybe 65 servers at a time that show full, and 59 of which are medium or smaller populations.
Additionally, investor relations has had SQEX as losing money in their subscription numbers. I believe the mathematical estimate on sub numbers based on the investor reports for q3 placed sub numbers somewhere in the range of 300k.
Add to this that they have already claimed lack of funding for botched content (no money for housing servers) and I can completely agree with this statement.
You know, this is all nice and well but, I remember hearing something along the lines of them while not giving away the same items from past events, and instead give out new ones every year, that they would give out materials to craft past event items within the same event. What happened to that? I guess they just said 'screw it' we're selling them instead. I'll forgive square-Enix if they sell 1.0 items which I miss because I just didn't happen to have a god almighty PC nor able to afford one at the time that was able to run 1.0
Of COURSE I paid for the collector's edition of the game. I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan and there's always perks to ponying up for the CE version. There's concept art, soundtracks, etc. and for every game that I truly believe in, I will pay the extra up front cost. It's not my fault that 1.0 ended up being a disaster, and 2 is now on a pretty steady decline.Ok...what. Game isn't stong, yet people couldn't log in due to servers being full? What does any of that have to do with charging 25 bucks for ONE (count it, ONE) DIGITAL item? And mind, I don't have problems with people disposing of their disposable income in ways that they see fit; I'm just against the cash shop model in very general terms, because the next stop is F2P. Don't believe it? Every other game that has done it has gone there, and they've been forced to because of bad development decisions similar to the things we are seeing in XIV right now. Don't think for a second that XIV is somehow immune to the realities of the marketplace. It's a business, and needs to be run like one. There is a certain level of professionalism that is required in order to be successful, and comments like "players should stop being lazy and earn more gil" is not the level of professionalism a company like SE should project.
The fact that players like you continue to defend such practices says much about the state of today's youth.
$25.00 slepnir mount. Anyone care to clarify this?
I bet there will be premium wards next, just because they can get a bit more money over a Ill conceived housing plan of their making.
As they say in politics: never waste a good crisis.

I'm beginning to think that these new items...
...are some sort of sick higher-criticism metanarrative on what SE expects to be able to sell to its players.
