I still don't like the idea of a cash shop and I most likely won't be buying anything from it. However, it's cool that they are transparent a bit and say that the revenue will go towards FFXIV to at least try to reassure those that thought otherwise. Also cool that some things won't be cash shop exclusive. I wish they had just said these things from the start, but better late than never.

the cash shop use to buy more server and Eu datacenter, to make more minion & vanity, I don't see why not

They better keep their word on it. Because it's sad seeing a single minion in the patch notes, and three on the cash shop.

It was likely damage control that they decided on this week after the feedback of the cash shop after it was announced.

Vanity is easy to obtain - If you chose not to level crafting classes that isn't his problem.

Did they happen to mention what subs were used to pay for... and if it's not enough to implement things correctly, is the cash shop the result of them having a problem maintaining subscribers?

Just curious, since cash shops are usually cheesy methods to get cash from players and can signal revenue problems.

As far as what the shop will sell- don't really care what he says. They will sell whatever they need to in order to make revenue figures. That's not a promise he is able to guarantee, so I am glad that is what he would like today- but it really isn't anything but lip service.
