Travel Routes!

On a saturday morning im presuming youre going down super early due to the event being at 10am.

Best bets is either 100 to Shadwell from Victoria Coach Station or take the DLR route which will bring you pretty much to outside the dock since thats its routes

My travel plans have changed now and I'm now taking the 6am train from Northampton to Euston, do you know the best way to get from Euston to the venue?

I will be staying at a hostel since the nearby hotels were a bit expensive when I looked at it on Monday :x Google Maps showed me several ways but I don't know if I can trust this.

It tells me to go from New Kent Road either to Newington (BP) and drive the 21 to Bank Station (F) than the DLR to Shadwell (what is a DLR anyway?); or to walk to Elephant Castle take the Northern to Bank and than the DLR to Shadwell and as third option to go to Newington (BS) take the 65 to Newington (B) and the 100 To Shadwell (K)


I am more than just slightly confused right now ^^

Oh and Maybe you can also tell me what kind of Card I should get, Oyster Card or what is it called someone told me is a good idea.It seems like I will be traveling a LOT.

DLR is something akin to a tram or city train.

As for me, it looks like the quickest way from my hotel to FanFest is taking the Central Underground from Queensway to Bank, and then the DLR from Bank to Shadwell (sounds so dirty).

Coming down from near Lincoln here... So motorways and then parking trouble, but should be fine!

Staying round a friend's not too far away, but the quickest way once your in London definitely seems to be getting to Shadwell Station. Alternatively if you don't mind a leg stretch you can get the underground to Aldgate East (almost typed Aldgoat), or Whitechapel, about 20 mins walk, not too complex a route.

Oyster card is used for ALL transport in London including trains, so you'll need one of these for definite, i'm going to be putting approximately £5 on mine of which gets me an automatic day pass so i can go anywhere in London without having to worry.

Your route however seems to be better to get the New Kent Road to Newington, then the 21 down to Bank Station, then the DLR (Its a train service in London which goes to all the docked areas in London including Tobacco) to Shadwell of which where tobacco dock is. it stops pretty much outside the dock itself where the event is.
