Just wondering if all the people commenting on 'how hard it is to' make content thats vanity actually even know what they are talking about.
*it really isnt.

Pretty sure I earned my sub by leaving my home to go to work. So if I buy a cash shop item, I damn well earned it.
Unless you have your parents pay your sub then you wouldnt understand that spending money when you actually work for it is actually something you earned.
Yeah, and SE has lost a little respect from me lately, too. I've got no doubt that I will get over this, in the same way I eventually got over the mismanagement of personal housing. However, it will be something I think of in the future when I'm considering whether I still want to play this game.
How is the sleipnir mount not just a model? Do you think there's specific game mechanics which are going to be attached to this mount? Coding wise or sound wise anything in particular added on top of it? The mount itself not already being available as a model ingame, ridden by Odin?
From what they showed yesterday, it appears to be just as well a quick and simple rehash of an already existing model ingame.
No you bought the item. You didn't earn it.
This! ^
I have no problem with a cash shop IF the items are available inGame.
For example the extreme Primal-Mounts. You can get them inGame.
But if you can't stand the grind, you can also buy them from the shop.
Item ONLY available in the shop -> NO NO!
.
I mean, not that I am happy with something like this, but it is going to be funny watching the fanboys who were screaming they would quit if this was ever implemented try to defend it now that it is coming.
And who decides what's "playable-content"? A lot of people devote a large part of their time to get those dresses and minions, and one would think that SE knew that there was a huge demand for it considering how they kept adding mounts, minions, new gear designs, and furniture. Otherwise they wouldn't have bothered with implementing them in the past.
So now you're telling me that an EXPANSION full of content that will more than likely cost around 50€ is the same than a SINGLE minion/mount costing 5€. Ooook... I really like customers like yourself. It's called Heavensward and will probably cost somewhere in the range of 30 - 50€ to unlock it. In my case, primarily for the new raids.
15 - 20 years ago people QQ'ed about such expansion releases to games as well, just like the current topic is filled with it. However, in due time people will come to accept it. Just like as to how most have little problems with expansion packs these days.
