I'm a WoW player but my main MMO today is FF. I'll be playing WoD but I'll keep playing FF the most.
Simples as that.

They DID IT! <3
It is already going down, at least as far as I can tell. All my 1.0 friends quit and are going to come back for the expansion IF they fix progression. Horizonal, etc.
Lot of people saying they going back to WoW for the expac. *shrug*
WoW is getting more of the same every expansion. I'll be playing but since I get to 100 I'll keep playing FF like I do now.
If you go see statistics, even with the xpacs WoW's population keeps decreasing since WotLK
They DID IT! <3
And yet we still get MMOs like ARR trying to mimic WoW despite being on a decline.
Plus a slower paced combat system, plus many different open world mechanics, plus a different crafting system. ARR took inspiration from WoW but made a different game from it.
It's hilarious how you just don't seem to get it.
You can keep personally attacking all you want - Doesn't change the fact despite people wanting to obviously move past WoW developers still try to mimic it and still want that playerbase. So trust me, I get it, but there's a reason this genre stagnated, and I can tell you it's not because developers are trying something different.
Also, ARR still struggles with basic system concepts that even the most generic of Korean MMOs did better, and they too copied the 'WoW standard.'
WoD's graphics, still look like they are years behind FFXIV. Just my opinion. I do understand it is a different style, but as a former WoW player, this update isn't all that amazing.
Hoarders gonna Horde.
And can we blame them? it's the most profitable MMO, every company wants a bite. If the new expansion is a success and all the players go back to wow we may have a golden age here.
Edit:
Put him on your ignore list, talking to that guy is a waste of posts. You can keep personally attacking all you want - Doesn't change the fact despite people wanting to obviously move past WoW developers still try to mimic it and still want that playerbase. Taking what's good from other successful games and giving it your own spin is how games will get better. The way you speak, you make it seem like ARR doesn't have its own identity and that it's just another clone yet many differences were pointed out which makes the game unique in its own right. If you refuse to believe it, that's your own right and if you think the game still struggles with basic concepts, then why are you still here ? Certainly the game must be doing something right if you're still playing it and not out there playing WoW, Korean MMOs or FFXI.You can keep personally attacking all you want - Doesn't change the fact despite people wanting to obviously move past WoW developers still try to mimic it and still want that playerbase. I left Wow, No plans in going back for 2 months worth of content.
Where as FFXIV bring new content every 3-4 months.
Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
