0_o Curious George and the BLM trainers and the two Padjal kiddos are so very deeply connected to the lore?
Part of the point is that Ninjas don't even come from Eorzea in the first place.
tbf the story did seem to imply Yugiri would be the job trainer.
That said that image doesn't really confirm scarface dude is the ninja job trainer.
Really? To me the story seemed to show she had more important things to do. She's kind of the leader of a displaced people.
I always imagined it would be one of "her people" who becomes the Ninja trainer.
"I see. Know that the practitioners of my art, too, are denizens of shadow. 'Tis in stealth that our strength lies. There is much we might learn from one another, I think."
"Ere long, I hope to begin imparting my martial knowledge to the people of Eorzea. When that time comes, it would be my honor to welcome you as a student."
Depends on interpretation I suppose

I think that Yugiri could just be referring to bringing the art to Eorzea as a whole while the Nin storyline will focus more on a shadowy sect hidden in Eorzea (There are hidden Ala Mighan resistance fighters during the war so it wouldn't be much of a stretch saying that the other occupied nations didn't have them as well) teaching a specially chosen Rogue the art.

The 2 Padjal kids are the younger sister and brother from Kan-E-Senna and part of the Gridania lore.
I don't know why they would need to update the lv1-15 storyquests. The devs could also simple put in a new quest for lv 10 that give you a password as a reward to enter the underworld of Limsa Lominsa (there are already some places in Limsa since 2.0 where a gate block the way while the area behind the gate is still passable on the map). The underworld exist since a long time in secret, according to the 2.2 story.Besides, they're likely updating the intro main scenario quests lines (up to 15) which is why they mentioned you have to do at least up till then to get the Rogue quest, that way they can actually make logical sense of suddenly having these professions without having to do the main scenario through 2.3.
I think it would be like it is now:
Lv10 starter class quest - unlock the Armory
Lv15 story quest - allow you to travel to Limsa or from Limsa away
It worked since last year. No reason to change it now, even if Rogue is not available as a starter class.

Curious GORGE
DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE
OR WE MIGHT HAVE TO AXE YOU SOME QUESTIONS
>:I

Why not go with the nin pre-req class instead? since you need to lv that to 15 anyway. My only disappointment was that Rogue would not be available to choose from at character creation. However, that disappointment is only severely mild, i.e. I'll live.
For convenience sake, I would go with choosing Maurader or Arcanist to start with. Then, when you get to the point you're able to unlock other classes (usually around level 10) and pick up Rogue.
so lets say it's PUG, you can start as that, lv it up to 15, unlock travel to other nations (if you haven't already) go to Limsa, pick up ROG.
