The reason why Siren don't get a primal fight is that she is not an aether entity in the first place.
In the XIV lore there exist Sirens (plural). That mean that they are a tribe, not a primal. Perhaps even a future beast tribe if the devs bring more Sirens into the game.

Mentioned this somewhere on Reddit as well. Why people get angry/frustrated/whatever about this is beyond me. Sure, maybe Fenrir was some super powerful summon in FFXI. But get this: We're playing FFXIV. Yes I know, it's a shock. But it really is a different game. Did I blow your mind?

Primals are locked in instances. Out of our sight and prove no threat. You only have to do them once and not even all of them. I'm surprised how this isn't a reason to rage....
Having Fenrir be a Primal battle/EX, rather than a dungeon boss, somehow means that they're doing it right? Yeeeahno >.> Boring concept of primals and their pushover battles that yield gear which isn't even required for completing the current engame (Coil 2). Grab your pitchforks for that rather.
I'm very sorry your favorite primal/summon/esper didn't make it to a 5 minute spammable DF arena fight.

Just because Fenrir was important in XI it means it must be the same in XIV too? Different games guys different story.
All I want from XIV.
Wandering Primals- HNM/Fates SSS Hunt Rank
Summoning Primals (not Egi's) 4th Limit Break Bar for them or insta-cast action that does 4000-8000dmg.
Hamlet- Design this to be opened world and design it to scale to the number of players doing it.
Skirmish- Bring back Beastmen Coins for BCNMs. Title that Skirmish.
Open World Dungeons. Bigger versions of the duty finder dungeons.
More Open World/ Less Barriers to let us explore. (Making the Maps bigger)
Danger in the open world. (lv60-80 enemies)
Better enemy AI (Common enemies have more then 1-2 actions/spells)
Enemies that Wander around more and have set walking paths.
Better Graphics. DX11 (Up to pare to 1.0 graphics)
Swimming (Just the option in some spots. Not all the game needs to be redone for it)
Better Gear Design-(less cliping)
Keep Lockouts but only for content that is designed to stay around for years. (Dynamis is good example)
Keep on track with the story and stop adding filler objectives. (Run here and pickup and bring back)
Design everything from here to require a group for everything.
Reuse 1.0 items that are currently in the game so they can be used.
Make Dungeon music loop.
Bring back the large open world of 1.0. Just don't copy & pasta everything like before.
Bring back Skillchains/Group Combos.
Give few more battle actions at the beginning of the game then just one.
Create a Sky/Sea open world endgame dungeon.
Better Designed Frontlines.
Better open world music that loops.
The idea that XI carries any more weight than any other numbered FF is so laughable.
In the Final Fantasy series overall, Fenrir is a minor summon that only makes a few appearances.

Funny..Bahamut is in a different yet..yet he's still a "top dog".Diabolos was a summon in more games, he got the same treatment. Just because he was more useful in XI doesn't make him worth anything more.
Also, different games, different lore. If you have a link showing XIVs Fenrir is even a primal, please provide it as I've seen jack on the subject.
Ultima is still an ultimate weapon of sorts.
Omega is still an ultimate weapon.
Carbuncle is still your "starter familiar" or "something early summoners can easily handle."
Need I go on?
Definitely if you've never played XI, otherwise, like Diabolos, he's definitely well known considering Windurst wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for his summoner's sacrifice(thus why windurst is as it is due to summoning him..making him akin to Bahamut in XIV.)
FFXI is a beast of a game.
if they can ditch ps2 and xbox360 platforms and move the game to ps4 and pc FFXI could pretty much flatten something as long as they could upgrade some graphics do stuff they wanted to try and fix a few things.
Then it could live for a few more years with more expansions.
I don't know why FFXIV and FFXI had to do this Level item stuff, I remember FFXI doing just well at level 75 with new bosses and stuff but 99 came along and item levels
There were no Elder/Aetheric Primals in FFXI.
And yet, XIV was stated by Yoshi P to be a fan service MMORPG and the Golden Saucer sure as hell didn't originate in Eorzea. Nor did Magitek. Nor did Scholars (especially being an "extinct" type of profession thus sharing a guild), nor did Dragoons and so on.No you come on. This is XIV not XI. It's different.
You do know this game and..most SE projects post 2005 only exist because of FFXI, right? Like VII, it is one of Square's landmark titles and does carry quite a lot of weight. Unless of course you can prove another SE project funded most of their projects for over a decade? However the XIV community is known to have ungrounded hate for XI.
