You know, it's weird the moderators erase foul language from the forums and give a nice chat filter for the chat log... but then turn around and put this in their game...

Hehehe, indeed. Slight double standard here. No point in having a chat filter in the logs if the NPCs are going to swear a blue streak. Why doens't Chat Filter work on NPCs?

The game and the forum are two different things.

The game is rated T, the forum is open to whoever types in the URL.

Good point about the chat filter, though, but really, who actually keeps that turned on?

The chat filter in any game has nothing to do with the rating. "Online Interactions Not Rated" remember?

It's a simple measure to offer some degree of protection from profanity to the ones that want it. In fact, you can deactivate it.

I've never seen an NPC use a swear word in ANY MMORPG before.

I don't care either way, I just found it to be interesting.
