If the price is $5-10 reasonable, maybe.
I don't see how it is any different in concept than buying the digital CE. You're paying for extraneous items, and a few temporary perks via the HD streams.
That said, I haven't ponied up for the CE yet either though.. so hrm.

It just says as an attendee, and I guess SE considers people who pay for the live stream an 'attendee' as well. But I know how you feel, 1.0 players did a whole bunch of stuff that we thought were in game 'exclusives' and couldn't be got again. Then they recycled it all for 2.0 and everyone could get. Maybe if it was a fair price like say around the $5.00 range I would think about it. More so because it sounds like something most of us wouldn't get our moneys worth of the full event anyway since its all live and uncut. Yeah I've bought live streams before of concerts between costs of $40-$60 and gotten my moneys worth because they're over and done with in a couple hours and easily watchable in a sitting. For a full fanfest which are day long events and break into the night as well. That's really a long time to be sitting in front of a computer to watch the full event. If someone is excited enough for fanfest and can do it then I guess the stream would be worth more, but I curious to know who here would honestly sit and watch the stream in full?

I'm sure it will be cheaper. They don't get the benefit of being their live, having the fun, doing the contests, do primal fights for exclusive shirts, getting the free swag they always give away etc... Plus they don't have to travel out there and buy a hotel room.

You are still going to get a lot of things they will not. But the experience of being there live, being able to ask questions and interact with the staff and other fans. They won't get that.

1. If they chose to attend the fan fest for the attire they took a risk and this is the price paid for it. (They should have gone for the sake of the festival itself not the "exclusives".)
2. The livestream will be fairly cheap because if it is over priced then people will ignore it and it will be a wasted service.
3. You must also consider the fact that the SD livestream is free. This kind of restricts the $ you can pay for it.
4. The livestream won't be more expensive than the actual game itself. Imagine the precedence/backlash it would get if the LIVESTREAM was more expensive than buying the game itself.
5. I see the HD livestream being from 10-20 USD
6. They may have done this to prevent Ebay sales of the moogle costume code.

Once again to re-iterate the purpose of the festival is to have fun with the dev. team and have a fun time with other FF14 gamers from across the (world/country?) Not for the moogle costume. That's like me complaining about going to PAX Prime and seeing someone who didn't go with a shirt from pax prime. Eitherway stream or no stream people were going to be able to get the costume w/o going there.
