Accepted payment methods for merchendise?

I was wondering whether credit cards (specifically Amex) would be accepted payments for purchases at the event, travelling internationally I would prefer to not carry cash if possible. I have a great deal of interest in merchandise so I hope you will.

Dunno. American Express is always kinda iffy. A friendly reminder you can always open up a free checking about and get a debit card. They are usually Visa so you can use them anywhere. Still time to get one before Fan Fest starts and you can just put the money you plan to use in the account.

I appreciate the suggestions but the question still stands as in my case its Amex (I would still love an answer to this one if possible) but its not only that its more a question on if like some conventions I have been to if its cash only because they didnt want to bring in mobile card readers and set them up and credits/debit cards were not accepted at all.

You know, most casinos in Vegas have ATMs in their lobbies (to encourage people to pull out money to gamble and SPEND). Since this is held at the Rio, if you have to pay cash at the con you could probably just go into the Rio and pull out money from one of their ATMs. Many of the casino ATMs also allow you to pull out cash advances on your credit card as well.

It would be nice to know if I should have cash on hand to buy stuff at fanfest or if I can get by at the vendors with credit card alone.
