Can you please Ease Up on Atma now?

I don't see how telling other people how they can acquire gear without doing Atma is irrelevant. I did my research, and I already said that I was skipping Atma because I know of other, better ways to obtain my gear. Just because someone hasn't experienced it themselves doesn't make them irrelevant. *shrugs*

Research =/= experience. It's like when you do Leviathan/Ramuh or Coil. You may know the fight from what you read or saw, but you could flop like a fish on land because you've never experienced it for yourself. Titan HM/EX is a very good example, actually.

So.. You are saying RNG makes a game not casual?

In this case: you are not.

One doesn't need to be a rocket surgeon in order to assess the playtime needed to get a Novus/Nexus, compare that with equivalent or better weapons and come to the conclusion that in it's current state, everything past Zenith simply isn't worth the time invested.

One certainly doesn't need to try it out in order to validate the above assessment.

And I don't know how else to say nicely to you that I've watched FC mates do Atma and learned that it's inferior for obtaining gear. So instead of pouring my time into doing Atma, and therefore wasting my time, I've instead decided to utilize better methods to upgrade my gear without having to pull my hair out nearly so much. So, tell me this, why are you and other folks so hell bent on grinding Atma when you know you can get better gear by other means? The BiS is only BiS by so much and it's practically negligible. Nexus weapons are inferior to Coils weapons.

Relic weapon is a vanity item.
Yes it may be BiS for the extremely short time until the next raid tier (and subsequent item level increase) gets released, but apart from that it's merely a pretty stick (or club depending on your class).

I'm simply discussing questionable design choices, which is the purpose of a forum thread.

The better question is why are you against the idea of changing the RNG drop rates of Atma (or improving the drop rate from what might be 1%) to progression (let you know you're about to get an Atma)? You just said the Nexus isn't BiS and the Atma itself is just a Zenith, so what's your deal?

Can only speak for me:
I did it because I like the looks.
Also I essentially did it as a test to see if it really was so horrible that it warrants the rather consistent complaining.

I was one of the lucky ones that landed in the targeted range, so no horror stories from me. Although I can attest to the sheer boredom of the FATe grind.
If I had a busier RL right now I would never have bothered and kept my Zenith for transmog purposes.

I would like to remind everyone but first let me as you this. In your journal exactly where is the relic quest located? It is located under SIDE I repeat SIDE story quests. This means you do not have to do it, it is optional, it has no affect on how you progress thru the game's story. So seeing as it is an optional quest to under take and you dont like how it or what it entails than you dont have to do it and can drop it. Now you chose to under take the quest either complete it or dont it is as simple as that. There is no reason for every little thing for players to run to the dev's and ask or demand or what have you to change something.

If this wasnt an optional quest line than I may say hey ya go head change it but I cant agree and I hope the dev's leave it as it is because it is an OPTIONAL quest line, you are not required to do it. This is not something that is broken it is not a bug, it dosent affect the story, you want it changed because you dont like (insert whatever reason you want).

I would like to remind you that it being side, main, optional, required, whatever you want to add here, is irrelevant. Many people are displeased, many people are giving feedback, that's all there is to it.

Just because it's a side story doesn't mean it shouldn't be improved.

Just so it sinks in: It doesn't matter if it's optional or required, that's completely irrelevant to the topic.
