Why bother posting this?

Sometime's people need to vent to make themselves feel better. Leaving a game you played since beta (and possibly loved) can be a pretty big deal for some people.

But doing T9 or the other SCOB turns without TS is a pain, considering that you're going with a group of random people... since OP is refering to end-game, I'll asume he talks about the SCOB.

Nah not a pain. We're doing T6 without voice chat even in pugs(since some members have unpredictable work schedules or are sick or are moving etc...). Our main issue is lack of experinece more than anything but last night without voice chat we got down to 15% on t6 then there was a bit of a messup - nothing that voice chat would have solved. It's mostly just people need to understand what's happening. As long as everyone understands the tactics involved in going through it. And yes macros can help.

OP could be deaf. Someone in my old FC was, so we created macros for her to express our intentions.

I assume that something changed. Either deafness or it's a simple technological barrier that could be solved.

What is preventing you from using TS?

I had an Android that crashed everytime I booted TS. Spent $500+ for an iPhone 5C, but it was damaged while I was getting ready to board the train for work. I then bought a Windows phone, but it does not support TS or Mumble.

This game really doesn't need voice chat. It just makes it easy. When trying to join groups on PF have you tried talking with the people that are running them to see if they take you even without voice chat? Also might I ask how come you lack access to voice chat? No pc/android/apple device that you could run the client on?

I ask those people if it's ok. I even link proof, but they still say no. As for devices, I was fine on PS3. Spent money to upgrade to PS4 for PS4 chat, but not many use it. PS4 plus an iPhone 5C that later was damaged was already enough money spent to get into content. I....just can't spend anymore; I pay my bills solo.

Someone even told me, "If you can't afford to get TS access, you don't deserve to play." They might be right.

Why bother posting this? Are you asking for help with TS or just telling us you're leaving?

Because I can promise you, most people really really don't care for an "I'm quitting" post. If you just want to quit, do so quietly instead of creating drama about it, nobody is special enough for others to care. If you want help with TS though, I'm sure many of us will be glad to help.

I just wanted to put it out there that a huge loss of talented players can make for a sour experience. Seeing a PF group for T7 that has 7/8 members needing a BRD with TS mandatory is /sadface as they tell me no.

So, it all boils down to where I can't progress without voice chat. Linking proof that I completed said content still wasn't enough (I was told I was probably carried). And as a personal note, I cannot spend more money at the moment for a device after I bought one, then bought another. Hell, even then, buying all that stuff didn't always guarantee a win lol

I don't understand. Do you not own a laptop? My girlfriend plays the ps4 version and uses vent on her laptop to talk while playing on the ps4.
