Nope being serious, the atma grind is to help new players 2nd it should not be easy it should be a nice time sync 200 fates per atma is fine, with gold rating and must complete the fate and no leave fate area. This should not be a weapon handed out put in the time or dont do it simple as that. Why should you get an atma after 20 or 50 fates considering they take 5 mins to complete? You already know they wont do 20 or 50 they would probably be nice and make it 100 per atma but thats being too nice imo, than again they might even make it more than what I suggested, this is SE and you never know with them.

Because farming Lv10 FATEs during these 6 hours was a real pain. The feeling you had was more something like "Oh My! Finally! This crap is done! I thought I would die of boredom!". But did it feel like an achievement? Nope. Not at all. Did it feel like something challenging? Again, not at all.
And the Atma weapon in itself, does it feel like a good reward for your efforts? Nooooope, because it's the same bloody thing as the Zenith and it's already outdated.
If you want, I can torture you for a random amount of time, and you'll get the best feeling you ever had when I'll end up saying "Ok, we're done, you can go now".

So, of course you'll have a positive feeling when the worst "end game" content of that game is finally over.

Relief feels amazing you know? It's kinda like going to the the toilet.
I did Atma when it came out, I did Animus when it came out, I did Novus when it came out, I've done Nexus.
Did it feel like an achievement for me? Yes it did, being in the 1%; attaining something before everyone else.

Try 12 hours in Outer La Noscea. No, it did not feel amazing getting that Atma. Especially when it just meant I had to get more of the stupid skittles.
Yes and no, that also didn't feel amazing. It felt meh, as that is what every Relic quest has been at this point (save for the original Relic and Atma quests. One was fun and enjoyable while the other was boring and frustrating). Meh.

That number i just pulled out of my backside for exaggeration; realistically i don't think i spent anything more than 100 fates each.

    To each their own, really.
Hearing each one of those clink sound effects when you find one was certainly pleasurable to my ears.

And so, that's why you want newcomers to be stuck behind that grind wall forever, so nobody past a certain point in time would go and farm the outdated and useless Atma, because you'll be able to get some i150 in a day?
    That's not very kind.

What I would like to know is those that are bemoaning having to do Fates by themselves are using the PF to gather a decent party - are ya?

No, I said getting Atma pieces was relieving, which also feels amazing, put simply in Layman's terms.

No, at this point in time of me typing this reply up, i'm farming Atmas for Ninja; "I'm" definitely not denying myself anything through a grind wall, purely because this quest-line is not obligatory in any way.
I do consider myself one of those newcomers, since i'm intending to re-do that entire side-quest line.
Of course to some degree of relevancy, the Atma farm helps newcomers level up by supplying people that intend to farm fates.

What's with the victim-blaming here? There is an indisputable fact here that there is no safeguard against running FATEs in a zone forever and NEVER seeing an Atma. How can that possibly be equated to a lack of commitment or effort? O__o There is nothing a player can do to defend themselves from this fact, no matter how many FATEs they run.

The fallacies presented in this thread really are astounding. The Atma stage of the relic quest is so outdated as to become defunct. What is the objective harm in allowing unlucky and newer players an easier avenue towards its attainment, except that those who suffered through the content before in its unaltered form simply can't bear the idea that future players won't have to suffer too? It's like an old person saying that when they were younger there was no such thing as computers or the polio vaccine. Does that mean it was "better"? LOL.

    Newsflash:
I got MY ENTIRE SET after 390 FATEs. (I tracked it via the 1K FATE achievement which I still do not have)

    That's 32.5 FATEs per Atma.

If that value is acceptable so would be a 50 FATE failsafe, because that failsafe would still be 1.54x the effort I have put in for my weapon.

Nonsensical "arguments" from the opposing side shouldn't really be surprising since you have:

Uneducated people, combined with mean people spiced with very few individuals that truly enjoy gambling.
