I'm leveling a gladiator now (level 26) and this couldn't be more true. I've gone to dungeons with FC friends on their appropriately low leveled jobs and still had them rip hate from me.

I'd recommend marking and abusing flash. Most people will understand why your doing this and wouldn't get angry if they pull from you sometimes

Here's a reverse healing horror story. Maybe it's more humorous, I don't know.

I wanted to try tanking once, because I've only ever healed until now.

I tanked Sastasha, first time, as a Marauder (+ flash). Everything was fine and happy... until the very, very end, the last boss.

I kid you not, I spun the monster around and I watched the healer, who was standing about 30 yalms away. He cured me once or twice, and then he rotated his happy ass ninety degrees, probably thinking, Wow, healing isn't fun anymore, and he proceeded to spam Stone on an enemy that did not need to be Stone'd.

You can probably guess what happened next.

But here's what happened after. I respawned, only to find out that the group didn't really need me in the end. The healer claimed it was an accident, but he did a good job keeping everyone else alive.

Ive seen a few triggerhappy bards now that people are farmin Nexus. This one bard just ran to boss with full cds, tanks were sorting out who takes what on Levi hm.

Hmm I haven't had a problem with any BRDs, yet - just seemingly all DRGs... o_O One of them ran up to, smacked and pulled Ifrit HM before I could even finish my second SS. Didn't even get protect out yet. >.> ((mainly because I usually start SSing those that loaded and wait for the whole party before casting Protect)).
That was a fun party dance Ifrit did before the tanks could get his hate. And that was probably the third time in two days - just this one was the worst.
I have bad luck with dragoons, it seems.

I wish I could keep a broom on my WHM and flog the next dragoon I see that does this. Just start whacking them with the broom and screaming, "NO. BAD DRAGOON. BAD. NO. YOU DO NOT TANK." :|

Also I have noticed a large increase of people yolo pulling trials and it's really god dam annoying! I do even get protect off.

Glad I'm not the only one to notice this trend. 100% agreed, totally annoying. I'm starting to feel like just letting people die on purpose.
We should call it that. YOLO pulls....

I do low level dungeons a lot, out of boredom and whatever, so I know how to wait for them to build hate and everything. But I know what you mean. I really like playing with tanks who spam Flash in the low levels. It makes my life easier.

Mine involves a MNK in Copperbell who decided that she was going to fight all the shit that the tank hadn't targeted. The tank (a PLD) would get hate on one mob and then before he could gather hate on the other two (or three) the MNK would appear and would start pounding on the extra mobs. I finally decided that Selene could heal her and if she died, too bad.

I asked her to stick to fighting the same mob as the tank because she wasn't equipped to fight the one mob on her own. I was told "Don't you DARE defend his inability to use flash". And then she proceeded to rant while I tried to explain that fighting a different mob and pulling hate helps no one. (Keep in mind though, I have never played a PLD, so I have no idea what they are supposed to do or when, or what flash looks like, or when they get it.) We ended up finishing the instance, but the whole thing was kind of annoying.

Selene was on the ball that day though, because the MNK never died. So...happy ending I guess.

So, two members of my FC wanted to run dungeons last night for myth and party leader decided on setting Brayflox. They haven't done it before - I did it once, completed and never went back - but ages ago. Needless to say, I didn't remember much of anything for that dungeon (except avoidance). Luckily the pugged BLM did.

We're doing pretty 'okay' for the majority of it but come to the last boss...... wipe after wipe after wipe after.... mainly via bomb range after knock back (not far enough) after Holying/AoEs.

At one point, we get the bugger down to maybe 5% hp. It came to a point where I was about to die - cast cure 2. Realized I was still targeted on the tank. Shit. Click bombed the ground to detarget in a panic (had maybe 15hp) and slapped Benediction. Tank still ate it. Died to snipers. We wipe.

End of story - the BLM left (I don't blame them), new BLM came in and we sorta semi-insta-cleared o_O Maybe it was luck, maybe it was just a group jive thing...
