A nifty little macro that I've used for a long time that I don't see mentioned often is:

/pac "Place"
/pac "Heel"

Usually the game wouldn't allow both actions to queue up but since Place only gives a reticle and doesn't commit an action you can effectively have the benefit of both and save yourself a hotbar slot. Plus I personally find fairy movement to be more fluid with this macro when moving to avoid certain AoE's since pets sometimes feel like they have this slight wind-up before they start moving which ends with them getting hit anyways. I find it less apparent with this macro as heel will kick off the wind-up as you confirm the new placement, but that could be just bias since I've used it for so long.

If you want to use steady/ guard to interrupt casts simply add them on the same line like so:

/pac Steady
/pac Guard
/pac ~fairy skill~

With this it'll interrupt embrace with w/e stance isn't active at the time if you want to avoid using Stay/Heel. Just keep in mind this will pop up that annoying error message/ sound so it's up to ya~
