Honestly, that game was an example of how people try to cover up poor design and critical thinking with flash and pizaz. The marketing was insane on that title and everyone was expecting it to be really good, only to be let down when the reality sunk in.

12 had redeeming features though, 13 was just straight up terrible. Yes in 12 summons were pointless, but the battle system was quite fun (I thought). The story was nowhere near the FFX and earlier games, but it was passable at least.

Sure you can, like buying FFXIII. ;p

I'm glad I wasn't the only person who couldn't stay awake trying to play ffxiii.

I can't say something about FF12 story, since I literally stopped playing out of boredom after 2-3 hours xD

I believe it's mostly a cash grab. It's interesting to note that it syncs up perfectly with an XIV mostly failed patch.
I picked it up mostly because I hope it's going to get funneled into the team fixing the issues here. And I happened to actually like Lightning, both as a character and a concept.
I'm sure that they will allow a controller. Even their newer pc games can be used with an xbox controller. I recently got Tomb Raider (came free with a video card purchase) and was pleasantly surprised that it picked up my xbox controller right away. Very convenient. Make no mistake - SE is a console company first. They are just trying to make a few quick bucks on the PC market.

-only person on the planet who enjoyed FFXIII series...- ;_;

Wonder why SE decide to port this after 5 years.
Speaking of which, 13-2 also scheduled for 2015 release according to wikipedia. Dunno if it's true or not.
13 is the only FF series I haven't played simply because I never own a PS3. Maybe I'll give it a try, though not sure since MMO literally takes away lots of offline games from me. lol

They recommend using a DuslShock controller via XInput for the game. Too bad I can't get my DS4 to work:

It's a straight port. The game originally ran on PC from what I remember.
