I can't complain been fun so far, and a great step in the right direction. Although I do hope they reconsider some changes but thats a different story.

Maybe I'm going crazy, but ambient occlusion looks...correct!
Anyone else with it turned on noticing that?
i had no problem getting on when the servers went up and had a blast playing the whole night here (europe) doing some of the new quests and twin adder missions without any crashes or disconnections. wierd that so many people seem to have problems.
i love the new forest music and the twin adder quests (they even granted my wish and i got to meet papalymo again^~^)
i love cids design, he looks awesome
i was very suprised to see "little ala mihgo" in thanalan, that was cool
the new icons look neat
im going to bed now but i know first thing i do when i get up tomorrow is logging in and doing some more quests
ah and sp as reward for every quest is a sweet cherry on the top
So, I don't spend that much time in Ul'dah... but I swear it looks like they've "weathered" the place up.
I remember going through Ul'dah - and LL for that matter - and always feeling everything looked too "clean", too well-kept, like the elements had no effect on it.
Teleported to Ul'dah just a bit ago and... I swear, it looks like they've added wear to the stone work, water-staining... etc...
Maybe it's just 'cause I'd been away from the game and forgot... I don't know. Can someone verify this one way or the other? 'cause I swear I don't remember it looking that weathered and worn.
Here's a screenshot I took
If that is the case... I love it.

Nah, I'm totally sure you are right^^
Noticed the same thing. Also, for Limsa I can say..more moss, at some places the stone is original instead of clean and beautiful ground, overall the quality improved too and how far you can look.
I also noticed some of the ground in La Noscea was changed already
Like the copy&paste stone in the middle of the way which split the way into two - now on one side, there's grass, on the other is a way.
Although they forgot they were supposed to NOT copy&paste new terrain, it's a first step into the right direction
Grand Companies are great so far, too tired to play more for now.
Something else I noticed which is surprisingly fun:
There are people in this game. And they actually TALK in the chat window xD
Something that happened really rarely normally. But now, all kinds of people talking, running around, you never feel alone.
Especially funny: sudden outbursts of happiness about all the new content, people who wont stop dancing and laughing and..so on![]()
Things added in this patch need improvements in the future, especially minor things like animations, leg one for mode swap is clumsy, doesnt fit to the game, so I hope thats not final form.
I didnt try all, but its good in overall.
The game really runs so smoothly now, I am really enjoying myself. I am also looking forward to learning how to play Conjurer with the new limitations.
Thanks so much Yoshi-P and the dev team, can't wait for 1.19 and 1.20 now.

All i can say is.. Storms path causes eyegasms every time i use it. Its so damned pretty now.

I saw the new icons and I was like "OAOSDJAOSDJKASODKAOSSK YEEEEEEEEEEEEES"
And then I heard the Black Shroud music and .... eargasm.
