There are, what, thirty houses per ward? Currently twenty-one wards per server, and sixty-four servers.

37,800 houses available in total?

Divided between Free Companies, and individuals.

There are over eight hundred thousand free companies registered in the game. o.o There are over a million subscribers.

Under one percent - yes, one percent, the irony burns - of the playerbase can acquire a personal house.

So, my question to Dev Team:

Is personal housing akin to Primal mounts in your view, only to be acquired by a very few of the playerbase?

If so, why did you advertise personal housing so much in comparison to Primal mounts?

Why didn't we have updates on Primal Mounts, or regular talk sections in Live Letters about upcoming primal mounts?

Obviously, Dev Team feels the same way about both the housing and the mounts, they're pretty much equal in scarcity. And as we all know, the more scarce a thing is, the more valuable, right?!

Please heed this message development team. The housing crisis is the worst I have seen in this game. Please do a hot fix and make the large houses apartments for those who could not buy due to shortage. This would solve 3 problems: 1) no additional wards need to be added at this time 2) The large plots sitting vacant will be utilized 3) You can house 100s of players with little to no effort simply by allowing then to have private chambers. Implement the ability for these units to house a small garden inside the units, and each large home will house all chocobos. (should be included in all large houses) Pricing should be around 1 million gil for each unit. Please implement this before you lose half your player base.

Hes aready come out and said that he was refering to the price point of 2.1 and honestly price isnt the problem. They just tacked on personal housing to the FC system trying to appease both sides which is the main problem.

Honestly the only thing they can do at this point is just leave it as is and add a new instanced personal housing feature which is unlimited and much cheaper. Leaving the current flustercuck as is. Many players have already bought their personal house and unless they do a rollback (as in everyone loses 2 days worth of gaming), its the only thing they can do that wont piss off those lucky few who were able to buy the current houses.

I was one of the lucky few, but as long as my gil was returned I would forfeit my house for a roll back so that housing could be implemented correctly. My FC mates could not buy a house, so my happiness is tempered with grief for all other players who could not have one. I am already experiencing buyers remorse.

I'm in the same situation, only member of my FC that could get a house. If SE came out with an apology and a real personal housing system i'd be ok if they took my current house off me.

Amen! I cant believe this has even happened. I waited for personal housing forever and I am pretty irritated that when I finally can get one I cant even be that happy about it because all of my friends are screwed over. I love this game and have played since beta, but I cant understand why they want to insight riots? Surely they knew this would be the case. They have the power to fix this lets hope they do so immediately.
