Macros make alot of sense if you're processing stacks of things that you want to HQ instead of Quick Synth. Especially if you want to HQ. You try manually processing 99 lumber's worth of logs manually, see how long you stay sane. That said, I've stopped using macros as it seems my macro'd rotation was utter garbage and the one I was shown by a friend is better but hard to quantify in automation.
