How much gil do you have on you?

About 10 million in pure gil.

If it matters, 85 million of my gil was spent in the past 40-50 days.

I am quite curious how you got 85million :O Ive never had past 2-3 million (in total...and that was struggling to save up for an FC house between me and my hubby)

A lot of spiritbonding (quick synth craft SBing, not killing stuff) while doing other things not game related. Have almost all crafts 3 star (easy, because of all that SBing I did).

I also craft a lot of things I can mass produce doing the above.

Borrowed some gil from a friend, bought a mansion for us (three member FC).

And then... chocobo dyeing. Need I say more?

For months I sat at 2m with no need to make gil or spend it. The Novus quest came along and I started crafting again. After making and spending several million on the Novus I'm back to 2m.

I have about 3.3 mil on me and another even 1 mil in the fc chest.

I soloed an fc to rank 6 over the course of 4 months and purchased my property last week, sure glad I did cuz all the smalls are gone now.
I have sold tons of materia at opportune times as well as random items when I'm full of junk in inventory.

I had about 4 mil but bought a small plot/house on my server (which still has open plots lol... gotta love low-pop servers) and after crafting stuff for it I'm at around 500k. Slowly working towards gearing out my gathering to make the gardening cost effective.

My 2 retainers have about 1 mil each, and I've got around 1.5 mil. Farmed boar hides for a week, netted me 5 mil. Also played the materia market, buy low sell high. Spent most of it on i90 left side crafted HQ for my main. But still have Novus coming up....

3.6 mill currently. Finished off my novas before the 2.35 patch. Owed my friend some gill for buying some of the materias so I went looking for a means of earning money fast. Ended up making a killing on the chocobo dye plants after the 2.35 patch. Earned enough to pay back my friend and then some. Spent all my extra money on gear and materia for my miner and fishing set, been making money off gathering since then and haven't looked back.

Well... if people are pushing breakdowns of their gil instead of how much they have (around 150,000g, by the way), then sure. If I'd not spent a gil I'd have... 4.2 million gil give or take. But 2.5 of that went towards the company housing fund earlier this year. Another million or so went into finally materia'ing my botany AF and I'm STILL not done with that. 300,000g went to getting a company personal room and some small expenditures on furniture and crafting materials for more furniture. I still need to raise another million or so so I can try and materia my crafting set. Personal housing? Don't see the point, the personal rooms and company houses are just exercises at home decorating. Our inn rooms still have vastly more functionality.

ATM, 1.6 million Gil combined with myself and my retainers and I just finished my Novus. Was saving Gil for Personal Housing but saw how badly that was messed up and decided I wanted no part of it.

With that said, making Gil isn't very difficult in the game as long as you're diligent about it. Make sure Retainers are always stocked with items and knowing what markets to play where. I've played since a few days after launch and in that time frame, I've personally managed to make 15-16 million Gil in that time frame, with the main bulk of that (10m+) in the three months between 2.2 and 2.3 to help get our FC a home (we are a proud owner of a medium home and we only have five active members). Though I have all crafts at level 50, I utilize this as an enabler to make my own items or items for the FC; never to actually make profit on the MB (though you can make a parallel that I was being frugal with my repairs by using Dark Matter at sub 10% to save Gil).

I think I only have 1.6 million right now, but I bought a small house yesterday. I had about 4.5 million give or take when the patch went live.
