Haha. Based on this reason, I am requesting, that only the first 4 parties every week can enter Coil. If you log in 5 minutes too late, you might not get into coil this week. But no worries, in a month 8 parties will be able to enter. There is a big difference between "not everyone has access" and "not everyone CAN have access".

Good idea. Maybe SE apply the limit so everyone will quit FFXIV. BTW there is a limitation on instance server. You will not be able to enter coil if the instance is full. However, the limitation is not 4 or 8. You CAN certainly access the house if you have 80mil or 30mil.

...If I'd known about it in advance, I probably could have farmed (well, SB'd and MBST'd, technically) up the 20m or so I'd need to get a medium house at full price reduction in a month. Wouldn't have been fun but doable, I think. None of the plots are going to last that long, though, and 40m... yeah. So my FC bought a large house for around 60m (max price reduction, was the last open plot on the entire server), and that took a lot of effort from those of us involved, and loans from several wealthy friends the FC leader had. I can't see myself realistically affording a large house alone, and I dislike the large house layout.

I thought Yoshi was a man of his word, however, and so I put aside enough to get a small FC house, assuming that would be enough for a middle of the road personal house.

There were 15m medium plots in the mist on Ultros last night that did not get snatched up immediately. And there were many small plots available in the new zones too. When they release the next 8 wards, I wouldn't be surprised if there were "cheap" small and medium plots available after the first month.

Most of the legacy zones, unfortunately, were in stark contrast to this.

To much dumb here, i was warned not to fight agaisnt the complainers here. it's like telling kids not to play in mud, they just don't care and want you to go away. gotcha.

You realize that both medium and large houses are currently 'instanced' right. And they are most def. NOT 'pea-sized'.

By instancing personal housing, they could have created something larger than an inn-room/FC personal room, customizable and not attached to the success of other players (ala FC rooms are tied to your FC existing and remaining in that house+you know, not booting you).

Instancing takes up far less 'server memory' than open-world takes up. So they could more easily offer more players more room. Furthermore, they STILL could have charged top dollar for said spaces if the 'gil circulation' was the concern.

So there's dumb here....but it's not the complainers.

Anyway, instanced player housing is the way to go. It's already used in various places throughout the game (for example, the location you speak with Kan-e-Senna), and even with FC player housing. Most MMOs implement it this way anyway.
