But the current Goblet is where I want my house.
But the current Goblet is where I want my house.
You realize you're 'must have' list is highly dependent on which plot you buy in any ward right? The most of housing benefits are for noncombatants. Crafter needs calm place to work (city market is too noisy) with fast access to market board, retainers (can be placed into FC house), aetherial (distinct supplier) and a house (fc supplier).
So, the best place for this is Lavender Beds. Mist is more "vertical" (stairs everywhere) but is still green and looks nice. The Goblet is vertical too and is 100% stone in addition - bad look.
Maybe there are another reasons, but for me this was the most important.
My FC resides in Plot 25 of the Goblet (Medium)
below is an image of exactly how far away the nearest market board is from our front yard.
The nearest ward athernet is right down the steps from that same market board (East)...so like maybe 10 steps away.
As to being vertical, it's supposed to be...it's supposed to be the 'mountain ward'
As to it's beauty....well, depends on what you want, we have a LOVELY vista...included was our view, from the street of the event fireworks...but the sunrise/sunset over the valley is beautiful. And the central falls/windmill imo is also asthetically pleasing. I think where some people complain is in the actual look of the actual houses, and about some of the yard layouts (the houses seem to face the 'wrong' way)....but this is true in all wards tbh. (houses located oddly within their plots).

You always need a ghetto.
The Goblet is Beautiful and everyone in this thread is beautiful (except Mapleine, she's not beautiful).
Now I'll rage behind this lol. Yoshi-P, you said you're going to change the appearance of the Goblet to make it more appeal! Where are the changes!

you mean you remember the thread you made? lol because that's what it should sayI remember a small thread a made http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ore-attractive.
Goblet could still stand to be a lot more beautiful/interesting. More falls, palms, waterfalls, a more oasis-type feel.
It's not hard.
This is not a fair comparison by any means. Races don't have limited slots on what race can and cannot be played. Because seriously if for instance someone wanted to play a Mi'qote but couldn't be played and was forced to play a Roe. I'm pretty sure they'd have a lot more complaining than "Guys the Goblet is kind of ugly."
