No no no. The people who should be ashamed all work for Square Enix right now. They should all have hung heads and feel terrible and that's just the way it is. This is a feature that many people have been waiting for since 1.0. They've touted it since the very origins of the game and have been flat out quoted as saying it will be seperate and distinct from FC housing and be much much cheaper.

So after months and months and months and months of patient waiting, the playerbase is given...something we've had since 2.1 but in a ridiculously tiny fraction for an insanely high price.

This entire patch boils down to a few new emotes and some loot table changes and a big giant screw you from Square Enix. No, right now they deserve every single bit of anger, angst and ire being thrown at them.

Pardon me if I don't feel that "this is dissappointingly expensive; sparse and with the fc housing system compounding the issue, shows the lack of direction and/or effort from the dev team." isn't enough to convey how tired I am of the day-late and dollar-short approach to change the dev team has adopted for their content, considering a lot of people were waiting for personal housing BECAUSE FC housing was ludicrously expensive for them, or they were locked out of housing activities by their fc.

I wasn't aware people cared about FFXIV during 1.0 times. At least 85% of the player base here definitely wasn't playing during 1.0.

It was fun to play the game, but personal housing was something I was really looking for, and I was hoping it would never be tied to the silly plots ideas, and that there would be more than 90 houses per server.

For the rest of the patch I can say thanks but the housing even I was looking forward to it. If the server is such an big issue SE maybe you need to reach into that chocobo bank of yours and add a separate external server decidated to housing in general.

I believe that's what they are doing for 2.4. His latest post confirmed that there will be twice as many wards as there are now, so I assume (I don't have much knowledge on this subject) that they are debugging/fleshing out the server for housing and it will ready for 2.4.

I also believe my signature has a place for this topic. I am neutral on the topic of the housing, so I will not comment save that disappointment was justified, but not necessarily the harsh attacks.
