Just incredible. This is what you get when you listen to unaccomplished and inexperienced players vs those who actually have played the roles. This is balancing for the sake of appeasement rather than the actual health of the game, and this is something that is extremely bad for everyone involved.

Part of the reason a lot of people went as healers in FL (any number of the above responses should be evidence enough) was that playing a two-way role was quite fun and skilled players could really make their mark. Instead, healers get a huge ability stripped from them. With healers continually being marginalized because of the reckless wishes of a few players, it's pretty easy to see their why numbers dwindle in pvp. My suspicion is that healers will dry out fairly quickly, not only making FL almost impossible to do, but eventually something no one will do. Why wait in queue for an hour just to get into a match where nobody is going to heal?

Honestly, i am not surprised and i don't think anyone else should be. In this patch there was no fix to matchmaking or FL queues, we were just given changes that only further degrade ffxiv pvp.

Just want to put it out there for all the people who carelessly asked for nerfs to healers. Sometimes you get exactly what you ask for and it's changes and philosophies like these that will eventually make it so nobody gets to pvp.

Hater's gonna hate right?. Guess I'm just gonna borrow the same tactics that baddies use and whine about how I can't survive against anyone in frontline as healers anymore. QQ I'm so bad. Then Yoshi will be like, let's save the healers and nerf DPS and tanks! And then we'll have an all around monthly nerf rotation and everybody live happily ever after until we all become monks with autoattacks!

I'm going to go ahead and agree with the majority of you. This choice was a poor choice and was catering to the whiners. On the other hand, I don't agree with most of you as the reason why it's a bad choice. It's not because I'm afraid I might be easy to kill, I will still be able to 1vs1 and win even with this change. The problem is, they are focusing on the wrong issue.

They need to approach more ways that promote teamwork. Since that is the major issue I see in PVP the majority of the time. How many of you big PVP'ers always shake your head when you are A or C team and see one/two/THREE teamsmates run to mid or some solo mission. You and I both know it happens EVERY match. So why not give them incentive to stick with their group, like a minor group buff. So you can start working together as a unit and if you cap a flag you can weight in the choice between breaking off and double capping or staying together.

The hilarious part is that most people are too pussy to actually roll healer in Frontlines. "Oh, sure, guys. We're totally going to hold Manors with 0-1 healers and the rest dps. Better hope the other team doesn't notice."

I'm in favor of every Healer going on strike. No heals for anyone (in frontlines) until we get Cleric stance back.

They also wanted nerf scholar at the begin with it. Scholars could do more damage than many dps class cause of dots + bane. For WHM it is not that big nerf since u can spam sleep and heavy around anyway. I think that is good change so ppl seriously lack damage if they go with full healer setup and it is more worth going with dps.
