Am I too black?

I need opinions.





I guess when I'm on my Soot Black Chocobo with my Soot Black Augmented Artifact Armor I feel like I'm just too black. I'm going to keep my Chocobo Soot Black because it took a lot of effort to get it there. However, above you can see some of the different color options I was considering for my armor.

Rust Red is kind of cool, but the pinkish trim isn't. All of the red's turn the trim into pink, Rust Red is the only one that turns it into a darker pink/orange, but it's still not great.

Marsh green is okay I guess, it kind of reminds me of enemy knights from Final Fantasy Tactics they way they were often recolored green, and that's cool, but I don't know.

Black is my first choice, I like the concept of having black armor, but I'm not a big fan of the way the different sections get died, it seems almost too much black.

Yellow is interesting only because it turns the metal part of the armor gold, which would be cool except for the fact that awful yellow tunic.

Snow White is interesting because it returns the metal parts of the armor to a natural looking shade of grey, which ironically enough is darker than the standard PLD AF color, the solid white tunic is cool looking, but it almost seems like going white kind of defeats the whole purpose of dying in the first place. It doesn't look much different than standard AF

I've taken a liking to Kobald Brown. It still give it a cool dark look, almost black, but it colors the metal parts of the armor in a more realistic color like a dark bronze. However, I'm still not sure. My best friend it telling me that Soot Black looks better.

It's hard to mix and match colors too as much as I'd like to. When you dye the body the metal shoulder pads will take the color of the body, and thus won't match the gloves and boots. It's a big deal if you're OCD like me. It would be really great if they made it so you could choose individually the color of each section of armor. But I doubt that they have any interest in doing that.

Nah, it's fine. I'd worry when you're blacker than the blackest black times infinity. But for now it's fine.
