Mog Net
happy with mine, I chose it because it's short and simple so people can remember and type it easily. I get annoyed when I'm trying to invite a player from search and have to type out a really long complex name and have to keep checking chat for how it's spelt.
I suspect a lot of Sea Wolves (or worse yet, characters originally created as Sea Wolves then Fantasia'ed to another race) have that problem. Lore appropriate names for them have some letter combinations that aren't widely used in English so could be mistaken for the random ones most RMT spammers use. (Is that Welsh they come from? Looks kind of like Welsh to me, but I'm no linguist.)
Oh, and to answer the thread's question for myself, no I don't regret the names of any of my characters, but then again, I don't use Fantasia to change races or genders. When I want to play another race or gender, I just create another character.
Navarre Greave (Hyur, Midlander, male)
Y'kayah Tia (Miqo'te, Seeker of the Sun, male)
Dylise Fieltaire (Elezen, Duskwight, female)
Tatala Tala (Lalafell, Dunesfolk, female)
Ardent Sky (Roegadyn, Hellsguard, female)
Fyrgeim Drysfalkwyn (Roegadyn, Sea Wolf, female)

I love my name and I don't think I'll ever change it.

No regrets here. At all. I adopted my first name from someone I use to game with longggg ago on a MMO that's shut down now. My last name is from H.P. Lovecraft. I discovered him while attempting to brush up on my writing for forum RPing. Of course after reading one of his short stories I realized that emulating his style wasn't a good idea. lol.

Not really. I just checked the Lodestone and no one else on any other server has my name, so it's one of a kind.
Soulfire is from my favorite comic book artist, Michael Turner. Originally, she was very similar to the main character Grace, and was a Midlander with hair of teal and light green. Now, I'm highlander and no longer look like the character, but I've had thoughts of changing my hair back to the teal-green combo.

Lol, mine drives me mad a little bit.
I gave my character the last name "Hightide" because it is a literal translation of my real last name. I was months into the game before someone said, "Oh, Hightide? Because Highwind was already taken?". It then dawned on me; what I thought was a very unique way of creating a name for my character looks like simply another attempt to solidify my fandom by naming my character after the various other Highwinds in the series. Dammit.

My characters appearance has changed several times... from race, to hair, to lip color, to highlights, scars, tattoos, face paint, etc..
One thing will never change: Zlatan Tarrant.
There is one thing that pisses me off though is that everyone calls me just Zlat. I know its convenient and I don't really mind that much but when you put the time and effort into creating the perfect name for your character, when it gets shortened to basically just a sound effect... its a bit disappointing.

my name is an icebreaker for a lot of geeky conversations with strangers. it's a welcome break from mind numbing hunts.
Server: Sargatanas || Main Job: Scholar || Chocobo: Bonchon

Yes and no. I mean I really do like the name Eclair. But not because I love doughnuts. Eclair meaning lightning in French.
I find it a bit funny that only French ppl would ask if my name actually meant to be lightning and not the pastry. Everyone else is like, "HEY DOUGHNUT!!"
"WHY DID YOU NAME YOUR CHARACTER AFTER A PASTRY?"
Actually it means Lightning in French.
"NOPE YOU'RE STILL A SOFT CAKE."
As for my last name... I just went creative to make it.
