Don't get me wrong I do like new soundtracks but to me back then they tried to capture the essence of the fights and got you pumped up for the fight.
I miss how you would come to a boss and all of a sudden epic music started to play that kept me wanting to play the games.
Reason I think Sephiroth and kefka became iconic bosses because their music captured their evil persona.
Thats what I want from this game just something that captures the land and captures the bosses something that sounds like a boss fight not something that is soothing. like gilgamesh was good it captured him
the black knights from orgre tactics example you knew you were in a fight with them or final fantasy tactics.
I know atlus was apart of the ps1 and square enix psp version is nice.

Please try to stay on topic. D: This thread is about mount foot prints; not music.
And as per your previous post about wasted resources. If that were the case they wouldn't put in player or chocobo foot prints; much less had little plinks when the rain hits the ground. They also have plans to have water pool in certain locations during rain so your "wasting resources" theory is insufficient.
Would love to see 3d foot prints if we're talking about footprints at least :P, in a number of games they create small (convex) piles of snow to make the snow look like it has semi-physical presence rather than a solid surface. Concave snow prints would be a bit (a lot) more exciting (work) to implement (lol), shadows are very cheap effective way to make a concave look.
I absolutely notice these things and it would definitely increase my immersive feeling in the game. Low priority but I would appreciate fixing some of the mount's tracks. 3d tracks being an extra low priority, but they're cool - love crunching around in the snow or sand having the sound fit with the visual feedback.

I hadn't noticed! Yeah I'd love all mounts to have prints. :3
~Quit moping, get hoping~
my other answer that foot prints is a waste of time. I am not interested in looking down and seeing a trail of my footprints. also the rain I wasn't interested in getting wet either. Please try to stay on topic. D: This thread is about mount foot prints; not music.

Then they brought up music and I brought up music and I was on topic with that person also.
Maybe you should stay on topic and not worry about me lol
To me what they made was fine, the wet rain footprints and other stuff could have came later on in FFXIV life I probably wouldn't of cared.
I would rather ask for something I can listen to or something I could fight or something that has everything to do with story and game play not something I can stare at im not a graphics visual whore lol

Priorities are well noted but not everyone at SE is working on the same thing at the same time, keep the graphics team employed by never letting them twiddle their thumbs :P.
Whenever a minor feature or quality-of-life addition is added, there's always someone who whines, "Why are they wasting time on stupid feature X, when they should be focusing on very-important-to-me feature Y???"
Well, there's nothing stopping them from working on both X AND Y. Y wasn't ignored because they were fiddling around with feature X. Y was ignored because of one of two things: Either feature Y is too difficult to accomplish quickly (or at all) and at a reasonable cost, or feature Y just isn't as important to them (or, as they perceive it, most players) as it is to you. If it's the former, they may actually be working on it even as we speak, and you just need to wait and hope. If the latter, well, wait and hope again, but the odds of actually seeing it happen are a whole lot lower.
