/jellyI think the Twin Adder stuff looks great. The full-set isn't really great looking but there are pieces that really stand out as unique. I wear the Circlet and legs from DoM and I get compliments and /tells daily about my look. Honestly I find it hard to find an armor set that I like every single piece of. Like many others have said, you can either avoid buying the gear or change companies.
That's pretty much how I want my gear to look but with a different top.
~Quit moping, get hoping~
The only bit of the twin adder armour I particularly like is the mage head-piece. The weapons are quite good though. Kind of remind me of the Jade/Jadeite weapons from GW1/2.
Overall, the Maelstrom looks best armour-wise, but the weapons tend to be hideous...

Here's my current vanity for my WHM.
The Adder weapons remind me of Glass weapons from Elder Scrolls.

Huh, never seen anyone run around with TA weapons yet and hadn't looked them up but that looks pretty slick. The Maelstrom weapons have cool designs but look made from plastic for some reason (and the MNK weapons not being hooks like the other Maelstrom weapons kind of blows my mind).
That being said, Twin Adder gear looks great as a set and have some nice looking unique pieces. Their color palette isn't for everyone's tastes but w/e. I love the Storm set like many people, but only the chest pieces and some boots... the pants and gloves are totally extraneous (maybe just DoW/DoM) and the helms are goofy as hell. But that's just my tastes, and more power to other people if they happen to love those pieces. That's just the nature of vanity gear, duh?

I don't know I have to disagree with OP...
I think that each set fits the feel and dress of each respective nation. Personally, I am more of a natural tones type of person, so out of all of them I like Gridania's the best. Gridania is a nation of hunters and the gear has a very nature based hunter's pallet. They will blend well within the forests, and protect the wearer from any injuries they might sustain running though the bushes and brambles. It fits the countries mentality and tradition, all of them do.
I think it comes down to the whole 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder', each person will like a set more than others based off personal taste. But I do not think it's horrible, I like it.
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.

I couldn't agree with this more. I think all three of the armor designs are awesome. ^_^ Even more so since they made different styles for each Grand Company instead of just recoloring one model the way the earlier GC gear is.Sorry, I have to disagree. It all comes to tastes, none is better than the other, you pick the one you like. For one, they added some variety to the factions thing, not only the same coat but with different colour. You're free to switch to another GC if you don't like them.

Flames looks the worst to me.
Adder kinda looks Indian-y too me...really nice.
Though yeah Mael looks the best for me. xD
Different strokes.
Adder has the best weapons for sure. Jade is such a unique material in FFXIV. Maelstorm weapons are red and gilded with weird designs by comparison.
I feel bad for you OP having to deal with Twin Adder's bad fashion taste.
