    Idea to make healers more interesting

    So in the lore, a conjurer must take life to balance the life that he/she gives. What if the conjurer was given an ability ("Divine Wrath" for sake of argument) that charges up as she heals. When the gauge on the attack hits full, he/she can use it to do an incredible amount of burst damage all at once, instantly killing a trash mob or heavily damaging an elite.

    One thing that a lot of healers like to do is flip cleric stance on and cast their offensive spells for some damage when the rest of the party isn't taking much itself. It's arguably the one thing that makes healers more attractive here than in other MMORPGs, and giving them such an ability would make things a lot more interesting.

    A similar power up ability could be utilized by the scholar in respects to enemies eating through the galvanize buff.

    I don't think it would make playing WHM (or SCH) any more interesting. There are some people who simply will not rill the role of a healer (or tank) and it's not because those classes are boring. It's because the community makes them not any fun to play.

    WHM have it ! I do 1000~1100 Damage with Holy

    Holy's like the WHM's Flare, it's AoE, it hurts and to top it off it stuns.
    Oh yeah it costs an arm manawise but to hell with it!

    WHM have potent DPS and healers don't nead any more of it.
    SCH have dots and the longer a fight lasts the more they'll dps so they don't really need more than that imho.

    For me it's like so :

    WHM > AoE Burst high Damage high mana consumption.
    SCH > AoE DoTs with low Damage, low mana consumption but higher Max Damage the longer the DoTs run.

    This is ofc my personal opinion.

    I think it would make more sense for the proc system to be a little better than it is, and I don't agree that we need any other DPS spells. We're already called baddies or lazy if we aren't stance-dancing every second of an encounter. No need to give the playerbase more encouragement to make White Mage a DPS with the occasional MedicaII.

    So let's maybe make some changes to the proc system. Rather than free spells, how about insta spells? Freecure is nice, but mana is rarely an issue in many encounters, and spell speed can really drag you down. I'd rather see cures or another spell proc an instant cureII than a free one. That could even be tied to DPS somehow - though it might get messy with cleric stance. Yea, scratch that, don't tie it to DPS spells for the reasons I listed above.

    While I do enjoy variety and being able to provide more to the party, I also feel that healers are already quite strong (too strong) at the moment. The last thing healers need is a buff in any department.

    As interesting as it may be to make current Healers more interesting it best not to tamper with what we have now just so we don't have to wait for the future Healer Jobs that may have unique healing mechanics or styles

    A better interpretation of the story is cnj is about bringing balance to nature. You are sacrificing part of yourself to heal others. You are not becoming stronger from healing others you are becoming weaker. You circumvent that by asking for that power from nature instead of your own hp using your mp as the catalyst for that interaction.

    A better lore based request in the same lines would be a to do burst dmg to a target, and leave a shadowflare sized pit on the ground centered on you that may dmg your party members. Not that that is any more likely to happen
