Must be massive boredom then, another tweet said they went from World of Warcraft to League of Legend and now PSN is the one getting DDOS'd.That's my point really. They claim to be fighting the big companies for the people but they are actually hurting the millions of users who enjoy these products. They really need to grow up and think about decent ways to protest. To be frank its a Sunday and they are probably just bored. Has nothing to do with fighting the power.

Yep. Like any trolls... they just think this is funny. That's my point really. They claim to be fighting the big companies for the people but they are actually hurting the millions of users who enjoy these products. They really need to grow up and think about decent ways to protest. To be frank its a Sunday and they are probably just bored. Has nothing to do with fighting the power.
I'm annoyed especially since my area's internet was down several hours yesterday and tomorrow PSN is supposed to be down for maintenance most of the day (Even though SE says you can play through it if you stay logged in, the PS4 seems prone to booting people anyways.) =_=

Someone should tell on his mother. Kids these days getting naughty when unsupervised.

Ugh so annoying D:
I just arrived home after 2 weeks away and I cant play because some retarded kids decided to shut the psn down.............
>_>

Yeah, it's a ballache for us, but hopefully it'll encourage gaming companies to invest in the tech needed to prevent this kind of thing in the future.
I mean, if a group of bored kids can do this, PSN, etc. are wide open to corporate espionage from competitors when it matters a lot more to them

Finally able to log back in. Hope sony actually get law agencies involved and track this guy down.

The people that initiated the DDoS on the login servers of the PSN have already been doxed (dox = identity posted on the internet). Everyone can easily access the information online with minimal know-how (pastebin.com). It's questionable if the data is accurate though. So don't do anything questionable using that data.
It's not a hack, so don't worry about any private information or account data. A hack is something way more sophisticated. What they did is just flooding the servers with requests until they're unable to handle them.

Yes it is down for me to as well. I just attempted to log in and I gotten the maintenance message. I would love know why in the hell did they decide to do on a freaking Sunday.![]()

How'd you get in? I can't get in. Did it go back down again?
