What I hate about most quests like these is that the item usage time is so long that usually you get interrupted by auto-attacks trying to use it.

After coming off a game where item usage was generally only interruptable with special effects like stun/paralyze, this felt very odd to me.

You have plenty of time to use the item before you start attacking. Just don't hit it with an attack the second it spawns

Nobody ever reads the quest text T_T

Happens when a lot of quests are basically copy/paste in order to give us the quantity needed But yeah, usually something requiring some kind of trigger is stated plainly in the text.

Favorite part is how he still killed the mob, but in all the time it took to fell this undying creature, he didn't notice the duty list with specific instructions.

I was a MNK and just fighting it by some random punchs,
a little bit surprise my hp drop faster than it, so I called my healer chocobo immediately and killed it easily...
I didn't know to use item... ^^;

My first thought when something involving a quest isnt dying quickly is it involves me using a quest item.

Normally when I come across people struggling with a mob, I get off my chocobo and help. For the quests that give you an item to use on the mob to weaken it though? I ride right on.
