PC is always going to be better than the PS4. That's a fact.
I play on the PS4 and it's fine... Controller works fine and the framerate and graphics are fine too. Everything is fine.

Choppy graphics sorry but id have to disagree i play on ps4 and i never get slow down on st or any Choppy looking graphics :P
A console game can also be optimized way more than a PC. A PC with specs comparable to a PS4 cannot play games with as high settings as PS4. Probably applies more for games like Infamous than FFXIV but consoles do have their advantages, aside from having a much larger game library.

I've ran more games than I can count on an inferior GPU/CPU than what the PS4 has, at 1050-1080P with no issues at 60+ FPS (This my old system from nearly 5 years ago).
The times it'd struggle, a little do it yourself overclock and you're back in the game.
And they do not have a larger library. PC has backward compatibility ranging back to early 1990's and can emulate almost every single console up to the last generation of consoles. So...
Correct. The only thing that can be upgraded in a PS4 is the hard drive. That's all a lie.

Tell that to my old sherlock games for PC that I had to dig my old windows 98 laptop out to play, even compatibility mode says gtfoThat's all a lie.

as far as the topic goes I play on both I dont see any extrmely noticable difference between my PC and PS4, is a PC going to be better sure but a PC that can push this game with all the various graphics add-ons is going to run a person a lot more and its going to run them even more if the person isnt comfortable building it themselves (I know god have mercy on my soul I dont like to build PC's). If you just want to play the game the PS4 is just as good as a more expensive PC that you pick up at the store. Enjoy the damn game and let the war go because in the end we all love this game and without eachother there would be no game or a lot less of one due to the lack of sub money.

I never understood the PC vs PS4 debate. PS4 is a budget machine
Drop $400 and be able to play games at medium-high settings with 25-60 fps right out of the box with no worry of compatibility, OS issues, etc etc. For your average gamer, this is exactly what they want.
For PC, you drop any range of amount from $600-$2000, and can get variable results from low to ultra-high settings with 90-120fps constant. It requires more upkeep, a little tweaking, but the benefit exists. Your average gamer won't care about this.
Honestly, the only reason I would tell someone to stay away from the PS4 version is the keyboard lag. Otherwise, despite being part of the "PC master race", I would quickly recommend a PS4 to any new gamer on a budget who wants FF14.

lol, you PC Master Race trolls are hilarious. "Thats a lie because I said so and my 5 year old PC played 5 year old games at 1080p blah blah blah"That's all a lie.

Yeah great, now play current games on it at near full settings like PS4 can, using 3 year old hardware. Or a game that looks as good as The Last of Us on a computer with PS3's hardware. Better yet play FFXIV on a computer with PS3's hardware. Oh right ... you cant... PS3 had a stripped down 7800GT (more or less) and the minimum PC requirements are 8800 or above. Should I mention the PS3 only had about 512MB total RAM? Or was it 256MB? Oh but im sure itll be a different story with PS4. Nope, my inferior $400 PS4 wont outlive your $400-$600 graphics card at all.
As for the emulation, lol, you never hacked a console before have you? I can emulate games on my phone, whats your point? "No, PC has more games because it can emulate the consoles that played them 10-30 years ago!" (90's? wtf?) The fact of the matter (and my entire point) is that when it comes to playing MOST of the newest and greatest games coming out, PC players fall way behind either waiting for a port (*cough* GTA5 *cough*) or wishing they had the console to play it.
Why would anyone do that? The PS3 is 8 years old, you can't even find a PC that old even if you tried. The whole point of PC is that you're not stuck for several years with whatever hardware some company thinks is good enough. You can buy better. Trying to purposefully scale down defeats that point.
The only console that had emulators was the original xbox and it had up to N64. Even ignoring emulators, PC has a huge library for the simple fact that its library doesn't reset like it does on consoles with every new generation. So you bought a bunch of PS3 games and now have a PS4? I hope they look good on the wall because that's where they're going to stay from now on. If I buy a new PC 4 years from now all my games I bought will still work.
