This horse has been beaten several times over and sadly, there's no foreseeable compromise. That being said, allow me to attempt a conclusive statement:
Experienced Endgamers: Yours is not the law. Your tomes aren't important to anyone other than you, just like a new person's experience/immersion isn't important to anyone but them. You want tomes? The game gives them out like candy EVERYWHERE now. Choosing something that has story elements in it then complaining that people want to waste time watching it is like going out for fast food at peak lunch/dinner hours and complaining of the long wait. You made the choice, even if there were/weren't better options. Add to that, there are always new people. YOU were new once. Every time new content is added, you're new again. Remember that when you adopt a brash sense of "generosity" allowing new people in your party. You want experience only? Imagine everyone else does when YOU'RE the new guy and ask yourself how that feels. The whole point of being offered a bonus for someone being new is intended to give incentive to those with experience to help those without. Not use them like cheap disposable labor for tomes. Who cares about tomes? You can practically get them standing in Mor Dhona dancing all day now.
First-Timers: Your experience is not an entitlement. At least not when there are 7 others - new or otherwise - involved. Maybe the other new guy simply doesn't care about the story and just wants to clear it and step into the wonderfully repetitive world of endgame content? You're slowing him down. No, it's not fair. To either of you. I like dungeons, personally. I feel no need to rush through them because I'll still hit the same tome caps that everyone else will. Then what? More standing around in Mor Dhona? (You'll see when you get there.) The inn does allow you to recap story events. It's a saving grace, as you can watch the cutscenes at your leisure, free of drama and being left behind. No, it's not the same as the first time, but think about how that experience will dampen over time. You won't be new forever, and eventually the luster of the "new experience" fades. I'm not saying roll over for the experienced and "suck it up", no. But understand they've been there and done that.
Both Groups: Look, we all pay to play this. And my money isn't of any more value than yours is. So why then is my time, tomes, immersion, or experience any more valuable than yours? Remember that. It's the same road, going the same place, but some go faster or slower, or started sooner or later. But you're all going the same place. If your bad attitude/selfish mentality forces someone else off that road, then when the time comes to go to a NEW place on that road, that's one less person going there. And THAT is how a community dies. A hostile, stagnant, or dead community kills games. So since you HAVE to play together, play nice. Or would you rather SE implement player/DF filters to allow New Only/Experienced Only parties? Good luck with those queue times. Better luck with finding a consistency of skill among both groups.
