You can go to your Inn Room (talk to an Innkeeper in any main city) and watch every cutscene you've seen/skipped. Click on the book next to the bed...that's what they meant. They even said some strange line, for me to go to my bed and watch the cut scenes later and just play through without them for this run. i have no idea why bed was included, but that just completely ruins the whole idea of tension, momentum and all that which makes a great story great.
I did that and it seriously ruined the whole story. You play through this incredible story line only to have the ending ruined. It's like going to the movies only to be told during the last 15 mins that you have to go home to watch the ending, lol.

oh don't worry i knew about that, it just kills the immersion and momentum of the story =p as someone who loves final fantasy, i didn't want to spoil the story that way. but, it resulted in 8 players having a hard time because the proper Etiquette is completely off kilter from what it is in other mmo's. Partially because final fantasy's story is on a different level.
Its blatantly offensive to ruin someone else's experience so you can increase how many tomes you get. after all, what they get you is only pixels. pixels. PIXELX POllYGONS J\isrghscvrt. yes.
dont expect every player to do what you want, and get used to speed runs. there isnt a reason to take all that time going through a dungeon, since you dont get exp anymore. pretty much everything will be going through as fast as possible. the less time you spend in a lv 50 dungeon, the more time you can spend doing other stuff. most people dont run lv 50 for fun, they do it for roulette, including what youre complaining so much about. theyve done it more times than you would care to know about. suck it up, and do it again skipping all the cutscenes, and youll see how its all handled.
for a writer, you have a surprisingly large amount of grammatical and spelling errors
The group is getting extra tomes to wait for the guy. Seriously it doesn't take but a couple extra minutes. Let them watch, lol.
Unfortunately, this is a long going debate. I took a break after those two dungeons because I thought the community was going downhill and was intimidated to do anything after that. When I DID come back to the game, I found that endgame content is full of even worse attitudes and even higher expectations.
Bottom line is, if you don't have a steady high school-esque clique of friends you can run with, you should make some, or else you're screwed for the rest of the game. It's not necessarily a problem with game design (maybe a small portion of it is), but it's mostly due to how the MMO attitude has changed since the beginning.
That's my personal opinion anyways. It's true, it SAYS in the quest description to go to DF to queue for the dungeon, but posting here is going to bring no closure to the issue, especially seeing as the devs already made it clear in their own post that they won't get involved in any disputes over gameplay style abuse kicking. It's a sad time, but you have to follow the norm now days, or try and make your own game.
Haha, I've always dreamed of SE using persistent worlds like Neverwinter Nights .............. but it's unlikely. Yoshi-P already said this is just another circus side show amusement ride.
It's far easier and less hassle to just form a group in PF and list that you are watching the cutscenes. Really I blame SE for putting so many cutscenes in a dungeon and then adding it to a roulette. It helps new people but it creates a conflict when you have run it 20 times versus just getting into the dungeon for the first time. Ultimately it's a cool idea with bad execution. Probably should have added the story stuff to a more solo instance.
I hope in the future they do not do this again.
Old and dead topic. Solution is to form a party of people who dont mind not skipping cutscenes. You set the terms in PF.
You cannot force the majority to do something they do not want to do in a fully randomized duty finder party, nor should you be able to. That is what PF is for.
TL: DR--- Functioning as designed. User adaptation necessary for individual's preferred results.

it says to use duty finder, and you have to, because thats the only way to do anything. party finder only allows you to find people with the same goal. even if you get a full party with PF, you still have to use duty finder to get into the instance.
I presume once you built your group in Party Finder you queue in Duty Finder and roll.
