I feel mounts could use some kind of turbo

As long as I get some sort of item that attacks the leading person in front of me, which would make said person regret using said turbo.

I guess it come with Golden Saucer and Chocobo racing.
It would be a boring racing if all Chocobos run with the same speed.

Turbo could consume stamina and after stamina reach 0% the chocobo move in heavy speed until the stamina is at 100% again

Mounts in this game do feel sluggish but for me that's due to coming off of years of FFXI, where being chocoboed doubled your speed.

Areas in FFXI were also freacking large and traveling required times... you didn't *casually* warp all over the word every time you felt like, going to Windy meant literally going on a journey.
